Went here yesterday (16th November '19) for my son's 40th birthday. Arrived at 6.30 and took our table laid out for 11. Our drinks order was taken about 7.15. We had children with us so ordered J2O's and Appletize, unfortunately they only had 5 and no Appletize .So we had to order lemonade which was £4.20 a pint. We were offered poppadoms, which we thought were complimentary, but were on the final bill for £20 for 20. Our starters came about 8.15 and an hour later our mains came about 9.15. We all noticed the food was lukewarm and fairly tasteless. Not like a curry I would expect from a restaurant. I don't like hot curry but I do like taste and seasoning. As it also has a takeaway service, I think they give this priority and diners have to wait. We finished eating around 10.We then had to wait for them to bring out our cake, which we didn't have time to cut and eat. I am surprised that this place gets some excellent reviews as the service was very slow and the waiters had difficulty understand our requirements. We did not make a complaint at the time as it was a celebration and didn't want to leave on a sour note. We eventually left around 10.30 after trying to work out who had to pay what from a scruffily hand written bill for £247. We will not...

First off it was absolutely packed. Not enough chairs for people in the restaurant. My friends were pinned against the wall and had to crawl under the table to get out. I ended up being sat on a plastic chair (garden furniture) whilst the person next to me was quickly ushered onto an office chair and told to watch out for the wheels.
When ordering drinks at the bar I was amazed to see that they were just picking up multi pack bottles of store bought coke pouring it into a half pint glass and then deciding to charge me 3.50 for the privilege.
Onto the food, or hunt the chicken as it quickly became known. Oh also just a heads up that you'll need to bring a pair of safety gloves to make sure you don't burn your hands on the plate. The rice and soup with one piece of chicken was disgusting.
The chicken was the dryest I've ever had the misfortune of eating. Everyone on our table was choking and wandering what on earth they had done to butcher chicken this badly.
This isn't even an exaggeration. The food and whole experience was appalling at best. You know a curry is bad when the highlight of your night is walking over to the McDonald's and having a mcflurry. So so poor...
