The Elephant & Castle — Restaurant in New Forest

I went to the pub on Monday night with my brothers and other friends and one of the bar staff told me I was only allowed one drink due to the fact she didn’t like me I managed to have another one but got stared at all evening I then went back to the pub tonight and that same staff member was there with her friends one of her friends stood at the back door so I could not go in and told my friend that I was not allowed in if I came in that staff member would physically assault me in her words “punch me” I would not recommend this place to anybody as the staff are rude and threatening towards customers when there working and when they are there witch tends to be every day as I was a regular before this. I would like to make a formal complaint as I would much prefer to keep this away from the police as I think the owners are lovely and will hopefully handle this...

We planned to make a visit for lunch after hearing good reviews from a friend who's a regular there but we left frustrated and disappointed after being spoken to rudly by one of the team members.

The team member was questioning my partners lack of mask as she has a hidden disability and despite showing an app provided by the government website, the team member rudly told us we had to have a lanyard.

We have no objections to being asked about a mask but we didn't appreciate the way the team member approached us about it. They were very abrupt and rude about it.

We were to be given an exception as a one off but we were so frustrated with the way we were spoken too that we decided to leave...
