A wonderful family run restaurant! I believe the chef is the owner and the place it’s only open from Wednesday to Saturday 6pm to 10pm. The restaurant is hidden in sort of corner of an alley however is easily accessible and plenty of car park within walking distance from the restaurant. There is a ramp at the entrance to enable wheelchair access.
The restaurant style and decor represents the authentic Italian style and the personal photos on the wall strengthens the feeling of that this is a family run business.
The food in general was delicious, each meal was indeed fresh and the dessert was heaven. Not a lot of selection on the menu which I really appreciate in a restaurant. Makes choosing a dish easier and allows the chef to master them few dishes.
In my opinion the amount and price of the meals are acceptable however I would not recommend the squid in red wine as it does not worth the price. I also missed the pizzas from the menu, as an Italian restaurant I would expect the place to offer this. Slightly bit on the pricey side for its value, size of portions and location in my opinion.
In overall service was fantastic, dessert and focaccia was heaven and food was delicious. Plenty of Italian alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages and of course Pelegrino was on the menu.
I would definitely recommend to visit...
Read moreAmoré offers a warm and welcoming slice of Italy right in the heart of town. This family-run restaurant delivers proper Italian food at prices that won’t break the bank—but the overall experience feels premium from start to finish.
The menu sticks to the classics, done really well. Two standout dishes are the homemade focaccia—light, fluffy, and full of flavour—and the lasagna, which is rich, comforting, and clearly made with care. You can tell these recipes have been passed down and perfected over time.
The atmosphere is relaxed but polished, making Amoré just as ideal for a quiet dinner for two as it is for a lively meal with a group of friends or family. Whether you’re stopping by midweek or celebrating something special, the team makes you feel like part of the family—attentive service without being overbearing.
What sets Amoré apart is the genuine passion behind the food and the people. There’s no flash or fuss—just real Italian hospitality, honest cooking, and a lovely place to...
Read moreWent to this restaurant based on the reviews , don't know how this place has such good ones all in all a big disappointment. Firstly portion size I had fillet steak gnocchi £13, literally had 12 pieces of the stuff and struggled to find the fillet steak and it was tasteless. My starter was okay , I had pate but again very small, desert was the best course tirramissu, nice. As for the wine I think charging £18 for a bottle of pinot is way too much and that was one of the cheaper ones on the menu. Also the whole ambiance of the place is very cold with the decor it needs softening at night too bright to be romantic. Wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone and won't be...
