I have been going here for about 13 years now and has always been a good experience & lovely food. However, I have recently been and not had such a good experience. The staff were pleasant, however, told us that they were unable to take all the dishes away unless we ate everything. I know it says on the menu about wasting food, but when you have young children who cannot each much and also paying 25 pound per person, you should not feel like you are being force fed, due to the chef apparently complaining about waste. Fair enough, but when your coming home being really ill due to having to eat all the food it is not good. May as well go a Chinese restaurant or order a takeaway in the future so you can do as you please with the food you purchase. I am gutted to be honest because I have been going here for years, however, I do not think I will be returning.
(Adding this extra comment to your reply) We spent over £120 pounds when visiting you and have been a valued customer. There were only a plate if three bbq ribs left (the child could not eat 6 ribs) and the beef squewers we were unable to eat due to them being tough (three were ate). My friend also ordered a chicken starter, and they were overcooked (burnt), however due to being told that we have to eat all the food before ordering any mains, she ate them (something she did not enjoy). From the main meal menu (the child) left most of their rice. But the adults ate majority of their food. We ate all the puddings. When going out for meals elsewhere, sometimes children leave food & adults do. I know it states ok the menu about waste, however, I feel that we ate an appropriate amount. We were all made to feel very uncomfortable and as a paying customer is really not fair. Like I said above I have been eating at your restaurant for over 13 years and always had a good experience & the food has always been pleasant. We have never previously experienced this, however on this last visit, like I say were made to feel very uncomfortable in regards...
Read moreLet's be honest. the food is exceptional however the location, atmosphere, space and prices are also what matters. For the money, the prices are just ok. not great. serving drinks in cans and having to ask for drinks and water many times is poor. The service is great if you get the right people. The two servers that seem like sisters or related are great and work very hard. one is from Portugal. Also a younger blond with longer hair seemed to be constantly busy helping everywhere. the others were too busy making cakes for birthdays and not working half as hard or as fast. had to ask for water 4 times which took (finally) all of 30 seconds to get and bring back to the table. Our table was by the side entrance so had the door opening often with a cold breeze due to people picking up takeaways that don't know how to shut a door behind them. one from our table had to go shut it. Toilets are by that door and hand dryers are super loud adding to an already loud environment. You will be packed in tight with little room to move about and certainly not without having to ask others to stand and move to let you past. Parking is road side only and be prepared to park in front of people's homes while obviously taking spaces they would normally use. or a good walk to pay and display parking. Owners will comment on how this can't be helped nor can the space inside be helped yet other restaurants manage to choose good locations easily enough. For all the bad, the hard working younger girls and the excellent food mostly make up for it. Considering how long in advance you need to book to get in any parties larger than 4, it's really not worth it. if I had to choose to pay £30+ per person here vs a takeaway for home or someplace like Furama Palace (similar buffet style) or Bauhinia, I would not choose peaches over...
Read moreGreat food and amazing at catering for allergies but service has been incredibly poor at times. Waited over 30 minutes to order whilst people who came in after us were served first, told they'd be back in a few minutes but didn't come back until we asked again.
In response to the reply below as you have stated we were there for 1 hour and 23 minutes. We had 3 rounds of starters not 3 courses, 1 of which was one starter each and 1 desert, we'd also asked for the bill with this final one to avoid another 30 minute wait. We paid very shortly after the final starters arrived. After the second round was finished the two tables next to us were seated, ordered drinks, got given drinks, and ordered food with one group receiving food before we had been served. The first two rounds were fast, but even if we spread that time out it's 27 minutes per round. We were waiting for at least 30 minutes. Unfortunately with the way this type of business is, as an all you can eat, the service needs to be on point. Seems a bit strange to lie about this timing instead of taking on board the feedback. This isn't the first time this type of thing has happened, which we've previously looked past because everything else was spot on.
We had 2 individual portions of duck, 9 ribs, seaweed, 10 wings, 6 wontons, 4 spring rolls and 1 brownie between 2 of us in about an hour and a half. It's not acceptable service which is why we...
