This is the first time I have ever felt the need to leave a review on anything. The worst customer service I have ever experienced at a restaurant.
Days prior to our booking, I rang asking for a window seat and was told on the phone that’s okay and that most of the seats were by the window. When I attended we were initially seated at a seat far from the window, and when I told the woman seating us that I asked specifically for a window seat she very rudely said there is none available. Literally 10 minutes later two window tables became available and they did not offer to move us to those tables, despite them remaining empty for the rest of the night. A simple we can serve you drinks in the lounge until a window table becomes available would have sufficed instead we were greeted with rudeness and was dismissed.
We ordered drinks and these took 20 minutes to arrive. When we were presented with food menu, the waitress mentioned the tuna and another starter dish were not available, fair enough. 30 Minutes later when a waitress finally came to take our order, i asked for the rib eye steak, she then very rudely said we’ve ran out. Apparently the last ribeye was served just before we ordered. Thank you for telling me that when you served the menu, instead of waiting for us to decide our order to tell us (!) She then offered us no alternative to the rib eye, and I was going through the other steak options which she also dismissed saying they had ran out. Long story short, when presenting a menu please inform people what is not available, instead of rudely telling them when they are waiting to order. No apology for this or anything.
Starters then took 30 minutes to come. Followed by a 40 minute wait for the mains. I understand restaurants can be busy, and it’s an opportunity for us to enjoy drinks in between courses in the meal, however we literally went 20 minutes between starter and main where not a single waitress came to our table, or even walked past us , to let us order a drink! We arrived at the restaurant at 8 and was served our mains at 9:45. Despite the ridiculous waiting times, there was no apology for the delay or lack of service. When we finished our mains, we were not even asked if we wanted dessert.
May I also add that the AC was on full blast in the restaurant and was very cold, when my partner mentioned this to the waitress and if we could move to a different table away from the AC, the waitress mentioned that her manager would be annoyed if we moved tables. Excellent customer service. She then said she could lower the AC, to which we said yes that would be lovely. The AC was not lowered and the waitress disappeared for 20 minutes after this, so we couldn't even tell her that it was still freezing cold even if we wanted to.
The food however was very nice, and the atmosphere of the restaurant was also quite nice, with good music and DJ throughout. We ordered the lasagne and burger, which turned out to be lovely alongside very nice cocktails. I promise i’m not a Karen, and that this is my first time ever leaving a review, but the customer service from the waitress that served our table, and the lady at the front who initially took us to our table was very very poor and very unprofessional. I was relieved to see that many other reviews also had similar complaints regarding the service and that it wasn’t something...
Read moreI really hate writing bad reviews about places, but I really hope they will take this as a learning curve for them. First of all, the view was stunning from the 26th floor. We had a lovely table by the window and there was a very chilled atmosphere.
I had booked this afternoon tea months in advance and notified them that I had allergies to eggs, nuts and crustaceans. They said it was absolutely fine and they could cater for me by phone/email. On the day of arrival, I spoke to a waitress and it was concerning that she didn't have a clue about my booking notes. I saw other tables were starting to receive their afternoon teas but no sign of ours. Finally, the waitress came back and said the kitchen wasn't aware that there were allergies and apologised. She did say the kitchen would make it work and get something together for me. Also the waitress doesn't seem to know what vegan and vegetarian were, I am neither.. im just allergic to egg. The presentation really nicely and a good portion, but mine was missing one cake though, compared to my sister's.
I started to eat the 2 finger sandwiches on the bottom. After a few minutes, I started to feel something wasn't right and I didn't want to make a fuss, but I had to inform the waitress. She said she would speak to the manager/chef and after waiting for ages, she told me get up myself and go to a private room to speak to them. I was firstly greeted by the head chef. I voiced my concerns to him and he said the kitchen sources the products from an outside supplier so there isn't a 100% guarantee of them being allergy free. I told them that I had contacted them in advance and I was assured everything was so safe. If you had said that it wasn't feasible, then I wouldn't have booked. I put my trust in them and this left me really disappointed. Please don't sell and advertise an unsafe product because this can be serious. At no point did the manager come out to speak to me until I asked for them. All they could do was just apologize and say that there are clearly some issues with communication and also that there must be more procedures in place as this has never happened before. After some discussion, I left as there wasn't much more I could have said and I really just wanted to leave. They have offered a voucher for another visit which I am still considering if it's worth coming back. There wasn't any contact afterwards from the restaurant at all to at least check if I was OK. This restaurant ruined my entire day as I spent the rest of day vomiting and not being able to spend time with my family who were visiting. It seems like from all the negative reviews, this issue has come up a few times before. This place needs a lot of improvement to survive because having a pretty face doesn't mean you will do well. They need to look after their customers better and also really get your communication right. Rethink on how you cater for people with allergies, don't sell a product when you...
Read moreWe went to 3Sixty last night for a meal for my birthday. The views are amazing, the restaurant looks nice and the staff were friendly. Our starters were delicious - the chilli and garlic prawns were really good! Our mains also were really nice if a little over seasoned on the tuna steak. However. There was a 45 minute wait for each course. We were there for three hours for a three course meal for two people. As much as we love a leisurely meal, this just felt like too much particularly because of the music. From about 30 mins in the music was absolutely blasting - the sort of music they played in night clubs about 10 years ago. I think the DJ thing could have worked just in the bar area but it was blasting throughout the restaurant to the point where we had to move my chair to be able to talk and even then we had to shout. By the end of the three hours it was just annoying! No one was dancing. It was really out of place for a restaurant. The desserts were also really bad. We ordered three between us. The tiramisu was good but not great - there wasn’t enough coffee and liqueur on the biscuits. But it was nice. The panna cotta was really bad. It was grainy and almost solid so seemed to have been made with too much gelatine. Although the sorbet it came with was tasty. The molten chocolate cake wasn’t molten - it was really overcooked. Then the cookie crumble on top was a completely solid cookie that had been covered in ice cream. You had to use your hands to eat it so a bit of a mess and then it tasted like it had been cooked with something else as we both felt it tasted weird - to be it tasted like beef gravy, to my fiancé he said Yorkshire pudding. Either way - it didn’t taste like a cookie!
Overall, the waitress was friendly, the views were brilliant, the starters and mains were really great. The wait time, stupidly loud music and poor desserts put a dampener on our night. There are so many other places in Newcastle that are worth a visit so I’d say head elsewhere, maybe go here for one drink to see the views or a couple of the starters. Or avoid the weekend when the music is on. A note that with our two problem desserts taken off the bill it still came to over £160 plus service charge so for that price you could enjoy some really great food without the numb legs from the wait or a head ache from the thumping...
