Bubble Cha — Restaurant in Newcastle upon Tyne

Okay, strap in for the ride because I need to explain how good this place is.

I've been coming here since 2015, I remember that bubble cha was actually one of the few bubble tea places in town, as it was something new back then, well, Bubble Cha stands as No.1 in the North East to this day, why? Because it is a place of memories, and amazing drinks, you come in and in front of you are thousands of combinations of possible drinks plus food, desserts and snacks, k-pop is blasting in the background, people are chatting and laughing there's a sweet smell of the bubble tea in the whole place, it creates such a comforting atmosphere, you tell yourself, we'll stay here for a little bit, but by the time you realise, 2 hours have passed.

The best possible feeling is in the summer, it's hot, it's stuffy and there's nothing better than an ice cold bubble tea, there are so many refreshing variations, sometimes it's impossible to choose, sometimes I order more than one drink because i need to taste my new ideas, and the staff is so nice, they never judge, they always greet you, they always say goodbye, they are so sweet to everyone and I'm genuinely so thankful for their hard work and for the fact that they created this amazing place.

I have so many amazing and hilarious memories thanks to bubble cha, that I don't think I can ever drink bubble tea from a different place, it'd be betrayal 😂

Firstly, this is more than just a great bubble tea place, the customer service is immaculate, such a friendly bunch of staff, flexible , hard working and always putting the needs of the customers first.

Inside , you will find many pointers , menus and offers that are clearly visual and helpful in order to help you get the right drink or meal for you. whether if its buy 5 get 1 free offer to the multiple options of flavors and pobbles the possibilities are endless.

And the drinks itself are in a class of its own, HANDS DOWN THE BEST BUBBLE TEA DRINKS IN THE WHOLE OF NEWCASTLE, so many satisfying and delicious drinks that are made fresh you cant go wrong at this place. My personal favorite is the Mango green tea with strawberry pobbles or the Taro milk tea with tapioca.

I don't usually bother to review food or drink establishments unless something spectacular happens but I feel obliged to say something after my experience at Bubble Cha this afternoon. I waited patiently for several minutes to be served despite there being no other customers in line. After a while an oriental couple entered the shop and began queuing behind me. The server finally acknowledged the queue but began serving the other couple instead. I said, "Excuse me, we were actually here first" but was completely ignored. The other couple apologised and actually looked pretty embarrassed but, despite me trying to engage the server, she continued to refuse to even acknowledge me. I hesitate to mention race but I can only assume it was because my gf and I are white. Up until that point we had simply made quiet polite conversation whilst waiting and had done nothing that could be construed as rude or offensive. It was really quite shocking.
