Nestled just a stone's throw from Chinatown Newcastle, the very name of this restaurant showcases what they pride themselves best in - Vietnamese Pho. What's 'Pho'?
For those unfamiliar, Pho is a traditional Vietnamese soup consisting of broth, rice noodles, herbs, and meat, typically beef or chicken. It's a dish celebrated for its rich flavors and comforting warmth, a staple in Vietnamese cuisine.
We went for the Vegan Pho, Lemongrass Fried Tofu, and a Vegan Vietnamese Summer Roll. Each dish was a delight - the Summer Rolls had a lovely refreshing taste. It was Michelle's first visit, and seeing her savor every bite was a joy – truly, a happy wife means a happy life.
Many friends have sung praises for the Rare Beef Pho, often returning for its irresistible flavors.
A highlight of our visit was the Salted Vietnamese Coffee – a unique and delightful twist that tantalized the taste buds. It's something I would definitely come back for. 😊

Considering I have worked in a Vietnamese restaurant years ago in Asia and know how to cook some of their dishes I can confirm this place is authentic. Definitely the best Viet place in the north east so far. Only thing I wish is the soup of beef pho can be richer in beef taste and let people choose not to have coriander in the soup. I know having it is the most authentic way but just personally not a fan of it. And if there’s some sweet basil in it then it will be super! Other thing I must mention is the salt and pepper squid is the best I have had in a while. It might looked pale but in fact it is super flavourful, with all the fried chili and onion, yummmm!! If I’m being honest I would only give 4 stars cause it is not the best Viet food I have had but I want to give that one more star for the courage and confidence for the owner to keep it up! Amazing authentic Vietnamese spot.
Me and my friends have been coming regularly since it opened. Always served by a wonderful waitress as well.
The food and customer service is why we come back so often. The pho itself is so heartwarming and it feels like it cures everything inside you. All the spices and flavour of the broth are to die for. We always ask for hoisin and make sure to add all the extras to get it like a true Vietnamese style pho.
The portions and price is 100% worth it, these type of restaurant are always 10x better than franchises.
Restaurants like these are what keeps us loyal, which is why we are more than happy to come back every week.
