Burger 8 Benton — Restaurant in Newcastle upon Tyne

First time trying Burger 8. Was greeted by the lovely staff who were super welcoming. Decided to order a #2 which was Two 100% Aberdeen Angus Smashed Beef Patties, crispy smoked streaky bacon, cheese, lettuce, red onion, dill pickle, burger 8 sauce. Served inside a Toasted Brioche bun.

This, including some beautifully cooked and seasoned chips with a can of pop set me back around £10 which I thought was decent value for money, considering the quality.

The meat was juicy and cooked to perfection with a light charring around the edges. The broiche bun was slightly toasted and definitely up to the challenge of holding all that food in there without falling apart. The bacon was a little bit tuff but I wasn’t too worried about that.

Overall, a very good quality burger with a decent portion of well cooked chips. I loved the little touches like the custom bag, car air freshner and the branded wipe to stand out the crowd.

You get what you pay for. Fabulous burgers and seasoned fries. Hubby had the burger patties with jalapeños and it made his nose run, that's a good thing apparently. We've had the chicken burgers too. Massive portions, I've never finished a meal yet. They come in a sturdy cardboard box, under the lid has the number of your burger, your add ons or things removed, so that you can differentiate between them. The fries are beautifully seasoned too. We got a menu through the door the other day, and usually we just bin them but the menu itself was lush and food looked amazing so we gave it a go. Delivery was so quick!!
