Greggs — Restaurant in Newcastle upon Tyne

This is not a reflection of all Greggs, just this particular branch. I have tried to get a veggie sausage sandwich for my partner about 5 times on a Sunday morning after a session the night before. Despite saying they shock veggie sandwich options ... they do not consistently. In their defence after trying 3 times unsuccessfully we were gifted with other items as a sorry... I appreciate this. The final straw was the last time I was there and one again asked for a veggie sausage .. and a regular sausage sandwich and was told they didnt have either. Ok.... I relented and asked for 2 coffees, while I stood there waiting. Someone else walked up and asked for a regular sausage sandwich. The staff member turned around and made them one... seriously I have no idea what that was about. I have been nothing but courteous and understanding.... but that did it. I don't...

I feel like this is the secret special Greggs as they always have random stuff none of the others have — like warm yum-yums with caramel sauce.

Once I ordered a donught and they disappeared outback for 2 minutes, I was convinced they were making me a special one. Sadly, they had forgot what I had asked for one. Oh how we chuckled about it.
