We went as it opened. This is a fabulous addition to Heaton. I’m not normally a fan of burgers but the one I had was excellent. So well cooked and very tasty - blue cheese and bacon. The decor is tastefully retro, service attentive and efficient. All in all a great, reasonably priced meal. By the time we left they were queuing down the street. We were back tonight - it was even better. I think they have just nailed every detail. The food is delicious - amazing fried chicken side tonight. The chairs are comfortable, the music just right to create an atmosphere whilst letting you hear the people you're with, the service impeccable. Such a joy to have this place on our doorstep and within a fabulous Heaton hospitality scene.

£12 or £13 for a burger with no meal plus a 10% gratuity is too much for me. I get that the automatically added to the bill gratuity is technically optional and that you're paying for a meal in a nice restaurant but no. The bun is nice. Home made. The bread to meat ratio felt light. The burgers are very smashed. The blue cheese and bacon was great at first but needed something to cut through the richness. Probs 7.4/10. Gravy was comparable to kfc. The chicken was ok. £4 for chips is fine usually but I don't agree with paying 50p for ketchup. Feels like it should be illegal. The soft serve ice cream is out of this world. The drinks and service are top notch too.

3.5 rounded up. Burgers were great and we really enjoyed the corn ribs. Wouldn’t order the loaded cheese fries again as they were just okay. Prices were fair for the quality of the food. However, service could have been better. It was very busy when we arrived, so we expected a wait, but staff didn’t acknowledge us at all. No eye contact, no “sorry we’re really busy but will be with you shortly”. We stood at the entrance for quite a while without being greeted and eventually had to approach a waiter ourselves to ask about a table. We were seated quickly after that, but one of the waiters wasn’t particularly warm, which made the experience feel even less welcoming. Expected more, especially as service charge was automatically added...
