The food was great but service needs improvement if they want to be competitive with the abundance of Greek restaurants in the area.
First of all the website says free home delivery but on only on checkout it said collection only. (They clarified delivery wasn't set up yet, but there is no need to offer it if it is not yet an option.) We were craving it from the morning so we put the order and decided to collect even though it's a 20 minute round trip.
The collection time was extended by 15 mins to 30 mins but when my partner got there the order had still not been prepared -even though the shop was empty of other customers.
When he got home and we unpacked, we realised that one of the 2 main meals was missing. He called to explain the issue and the lady said that we would need to come back to pick up the missing meal. We left the food at home getting cold, and drove back.
I went in the store this time to collect and again, even though the restaurant was empty, the service was slow, it wasn't until an employee sat at a side table called for one of the ladies behind the till, that I was served. I politely asked if they had included something complimentary to make up for the inconvenience and their error. The lady at the till was confused, she agreed in a slice of orange pie but then asked for payment. In the end she understood and unhappily let us have the slice, still confused.
We came back home once again, hungry and the food we had previously brought home was now cold and had to be put in the microwave.
Apologising to the customer doesn't fix a bad experience. The concept of being polite and understanding to the customer when you've caused a big inconvenience by offering something complimentary, isn't new in the hospitality business - many other business's offer this - the customer shouldn't have...
Read moreI want to share my disappointing experience, which unfortunately wasn't related to the food or the atmosphere, but rather the unacceptable behavior of the staff towards a delivery driver. It's important to remember that delivery drivers are crucial partners in the restaurant business, working hard to bring food to customers. I witnessed a staff ask a staff member —who had an Isabella tattoo on his arm— how long it would take for an order. Instead of a polite response, the staff member reacted very negatively, creating an uncomfortable situation. It was evident that the driver was taken aback by the rudeness, and his frustration showed. This kind of treatment is simply unacceptable. Delivery drivers deserve respect and kindness, just like any other individual in the service industry. Creating a supportive and respectful environment not only benefits the drivers but also reflects well on the establishment itself. I hope management addresses this issue, as it's vital to treat everyone with the dignity they deserve. After all, we're all part of the same team working towards a common goal— Overall, I urge the management to provide training and encouragement for staff to treat all individuals, including delivery partners, with the respect they deserve. Positive interactions can significantly enhance the overall experience for...
