Flight — Restaurant in Newcastle upon Tyne

Today, at Flight, we were treated to a master class in appalling customer service. We were shown to a table and handed drinks menus. We waited, and then we waited a bit more. After about 15 minutes, we gave up on the idea of someone coming to take our order so we placed the order at the bar. We then waited, and waited a bit more. In fact, we waited so long the people on the next table asked what the hell we’d ordered. I thought we might get a ‘sorry for your wait’ when the drinks eventually turned up. Unfortunately not. A few minutes into my drink I had a coughing fit - I have a cold - my husband went to the bar to ask for help and a glass of water. Flight is a perfect place if you want to come and relax with or without friends. It has a warm welcoming feel from the moment you walk through the frontdoor & the staff are also friendly.. Beer quality it superb with a splendid range & from first glances there is a tremendous mix of spirits... Just an update.. have now included the drinks menu that includes some rather tempting cocktails

Brilliant customer service. The man at bar, although busy, had noticed us walk in and take a seat. As I got up a minute or 2 later to come and find a menu, he was walking towards me with the 2 menus, 1 of which was for my friend. He recommended some good wine to choose as well. It was the 2nd time I've been there and each time, it's been good. Great music that's not too loud, a glamorous vibe yet able to dress slightly casual too. A great...
