Having loved Liosi's Heaton for an evening meal a few weeks back, we decided to try the Sunday roast and we weren’t disappointed.

I’m usually a beef or lamb girl, but I’d heard great things about the Italian porchetta so decided to try the trio of meats. Wow!!!

Highlights:

All of the meats; so tender and flavoursome. We had the beef, lamb and porchetta. I actually think the porchetta won which is bold coming from me 🤣

A proper tasty homemade Yorkshire pudding. Lots do one that looks good but rarely do they also taste amazing. This one did.

The veg. Aside from the meat, a ‘good’ Sunday dinner needs perfectly cooked veg imho and this ticked the box. Yum!

Best mashed potato. My OH is a firm roasty fan, but even he was blown away by the mash.

The whole Sunday menu looked amazing, but we know our limits so ‘only’ had the huge roast each 🤣. Wished we had space for more. Lovely glass of red, 2 Sale di Mare beers and 2 strawberry daiquiris, then complimentary limoncellos. An afternoon nap for all when we got home 🤪. Bill came to £95.

Ambience great, Roberta our waitress was fantastic, and food was stunningly...

Liosi’s Heaton Sicilian Cafe Bar 🔥 My very first time here - and it was such a pleasant experience! I loved my experience of Liosi’s back in the Swordfish House - but this, especially with multiple requests from patrons for a branch to open close to home (Heaton), oh, how exciting.

I’ll start with the coffee. Proudly, the owner mentions that their coffee is the best. I’m not a coffee connoisseur; but we loved it. Sipping on it while having the best view of Heaton Road and people watching - what more could I ask for?

The cuisine served? Amazing. The Chicken Milanese sandwich - crispy breaded chicken, lovely condiments. The Roman Pinsa? Wow. It’s a different form of pizza, flatbread originating from Rome. We had the Pinsa Tonno (tuna). Heavenly.

I’m simple to please - and I loved every aspect here. From the service, to the chill vibes, good food. Definitely recommended. Great...

We had an absolutely wonderful dining experience at Liosis during our recent family visit! From the moment we walked in, Roberta made us feel so welcome and went above and beyond to ensure our evening was memorable. Their warmth and attentiveness truly stood out, making the atmosphere perfect for a family gathering.

The food was nothing short of spectacular. Every dish we ordered was bursting with authentic Italian flavors, beautifully presented, and clearly made with care. The menu had something for everyone, and the portions were just right. The kids’ menu was great!

The service was impeccable—prompt, friendly, and professional without feeling rushed. Roberta, Andreas and Filipo clearly love what they do, and it shows in every detail. We Highly recommend this gem for anyone looking for a family-friendly Italian...

Over the past couple of weeks I've been visiting Liosi's in Heaton after work to pick up takeout sandwiches.. Milanese (breaded chicken mayo), Vegitali misti (mixed roast vegetables). Polpette (spicy meatballs), Salsiccia (Sicilian fennel sausage).. All of which are seriously delicious n I couldn't pick a favourite. Over the times I have visited I've perused Liosi's various menu's including the Tapas & Sunday lunch menu's & all seem very impressive to the point I need to try at some point. They also offer some 25% online booking discount on Monday and Tuesday with code MT25 And a Sunday lunch free dessert with code FD25 If the sandwiches are anything to go on it'll be worth a visit to sit in & enjoy. In the mean time will I return for more sandwiches? Most definitely yes
