Visited today after hearing really amazing things from some friends who have visited a few times. Unfortunately our experience didn’t live up to the expectations we had. It took thirty minutes for us to receive the drinks we ordered and another fifteen before our food arrived. Normally this would not be an issue, but the restaurant appeared to be quiet as it is a Tuesday evening, therefore I’m unsure why service was so slow. Food was okay, nothing too special - it felt a bit overpriced if I’m honest. The menu felt quite limited as well. Overall the atmosphere in the restaurant wasn’t great, at times we felt a bit awkward and uncomfortable. Service was okay but nothing to rave about. staff where polite and friendly however at times seemed airy fairy wrapped up in walking about. The food was OK medium rare steak was medium so ask for rare . portion sizes where good. The atmosphere was good relaxed. We asked for a coffee after our dinner only to be told the coffee machine had started to clean itself REALLY come on ive heard some excused. lol still got them though in massive mugs . kind of put of with big mugs . three stars represents this establishment fine. Had my 50th birthday party here Saturday nite was absolutely amazing buffet fantastic set out lovely by Darren head chef so helpful anything we needed my cousin was dairy free which i had forgot to mention but Darren went above and beyond to find her something to eat also conner and erin amazing service and friendly with all my guests would recommend the holiday inn for partys room decorated by Elliott was absolutely beautiful we went up Sunday for lunch started doing dinners was delicious definitely recommend it £15 for beef but worth it again Darren went above and beyond with us for dinner definitely had the best 50th...
