Wow !! what an absolute treat! Before I dive into why I highly recommend dining at The Junction, I first want to highlight just how kind and attentive the staff are. Every single person we encountered was smiley, patient, and genuinely lovely, it really added to the experience. I’ll be honest, I used to be a Chinese takeaway girly through and through. But recently, thanks to my partner, I’ve been introduced to the world of Indian cuisine, and I’m obsessed! We first visited The Junction last year, when I was still new to it all. But after trying a fair few curry houses around Newcastle, I can confidently say: the food here is unmatched. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the little touches ,like the cloth napkins and beautifully set tables, make it feel special without being over the top. If you’re debating whether to give this place a try, please take my advice and GO! You truly won’t be disappointed. Oh, and a little insider tip: ask for a fusion of the pilau rice with cashew nuts and onions. The staff created it for us because we couldn’t decide — and it was phenomenal.

Booked a table was shown to my table instantly, but sadly that's where the good service stopped. Took the staff ages to come to the table we sat like peas in a pod waiting for them to take the drinks order. We did manage to order drinks they took around 15 mins to come to the table, and then another 15 mins to take our order. The English was poor - I ordered Egg Pelau with my dish, to discover after I had put the rice into my curry that they have given me nut pelau. In general poor service coupled with incorrect orders. The service is terrible, no one to ask for drinks or how was your food etc... probs gonna be my last visit!

Great place hidden away just off the busy dual carriage way ...if you go towards the metro there's an underpass takes you straight to the Restaurant also a great pub called the Carriage. Great food, looked after by the staff especially had great conversation with the owners son such a nice guy great to speak to advised on all the local goings on etc. The restaurant is in like a train carriage quirky but lovely and atmospheric lovely dining experience, food is up there with nicest I've had really nice. Overall a great evening ..thank you all xx

Absolutely incredible. Booked a table of 5 for a belated birthday do and have never been more satisfied at the end of a meal. Excellent service and phenomenal food in a unique and pleasantly decorated venue.

I had the minced beef chapati roll for a starter which was lovely; it was juicy and just the right amount of spicy, and the lamb tikka masala with keema pilau rice as a main (not particularly adventurous, but a reliable favourite) and don’t think I’ll be able to go back to my local takeaway, because it was the best curry I’ve ever eaten. On top of that, the peshwari naan was sublime. So sweet and contrasted very well with the flavour of the curry. Frankly, the quality of food you get for how affordable it is is outrageously good.

I wasn’t able to get the names of the lovely gentlemen and lady who served us but everyone was friendly and made us feel well looked after. The food took a while to arrive but was clearly freshly prepared and well worth the wait - the only complaint I have is that there was no cheesecake available at the end of the night - but that just means I’ll have to go back, which I won’t be complaining...

We went here very recently. Sadly I was very disappointed with the extremely slow service. It took over three hours and we only ordered mains and some poppadoms. We weren’t checked on throughout the entire meal and Kept having to flag the attention of the clearly hurried staff who were focused on the main restaurant. We were seated in the cold place near the bar in the train conversion rather than the main restaurant despite having a reservation. Basic things were missing. No napkins until the end of the meal. Our table wasn’t cleared before the food arrived. The tables were too small for the amount of dishes. I kept having to flag down rushed staff to ask for refills. The food it’s self was nice enough albeit a little bland. The rice was a bit boring. The serving dishes weren’t very big. The portion sizes were small for the price. The chicken in my rogan was a bit over cooked, and the sauce was nice but a bit underwhelming. The naans were greasy. No wet towels after to cleanse. Maybe I just caught them on a busy night. Probably...
