From the moment you step into the Osborne you are welcomed by one of the team who are friendly, happy to help and recommend any places to eat, drink and attend for entertainment. ||Having stay here for the first time in 2021 I have been back so much to now consider it my second home. From the moment our family met the team Sharon became our favourite as she would have a giggle with us and made us feel extremely welcome and at home which you don’t get in many hotels.||The breakfast is great! Good cooked brekky and plenty of options if a fry up isn’t your thing. Sharon has learnt our brekky order now we have been that much! ||Rooms are comfy and spacious and nightlife is great as pubs and bars a stones throw away if you want to go out but still far enough walk away to not hear them.||I couldn’t imagine staying anywhere else when I go to Newcastle now as the Osborne and staff are like my second home and have become like family! I mostly put this down to the first experience we had as if Sharon hadn’t been so welcoming and willing to have a joke and a giggle with us it would have been just another hotel stay but it’s what brought us back time and time again. ||We have regular trips as a couple, a solo travel and a family trip every year where 18 of us take over but no matter who is travelling we always look forward to seeing Kiran and Sharon and Debbie! ||Thankyou for always going above and beyond for us! And massive thankyou to Sharon for giving us all the love and care...
Read moreHIGHLY RECOMMEND A STAY AT THE OSBORNE HOTEL||Our family have just spent a wonderful 5 days at the Osborne Hotel whilst attending our daughters Graduation. ||Whilst this hotel might have a 2 star rating, the customer service and welcome you receive from everyone at the Osborne deserves a 5! We have never stayed anywhere with such a warm and welcoming staff. ||From the moment you step into Reception nothing is too much trouble, so a massive thank you to Kiran, Sharon (especially gifted with her unique sense of humour), Laura, Shaz, Tanya, Debbie, Helen and the lovely Joe for your genuine hospitality and not forgetting that Geordie sense of humour!||We found the hotel to be very clean, comfortable and spacious and definitely great value for money.||The breakfasts are delicious with a great choice from cereals to full English and as the breakfasts are cooked to order they are piping hot when they arrive at your table. ||The Osborne is in an excellent location with a bus stop right outside the front door. Just a few minutes by bus and you will be in the city centre. Or if you prefer you have the choice of two metro stations nearby and the Jesmond Dene just a short walk away for those wanting a bit of peace and tranquility!||We have stayed at the Osborne for the past 4 years now and have to say other hotels in the area just don’t compare - definitely our favourite and definitely one we will be...
Read moreI’m really really confused after reading all the positive reviews on here and booking.com. I think I have stayed in an entirely different hotel to the ones described in recent reviews.|Yes, when you enter reception it looks clean, pleasant and relatively modern.|However, when you receive your key and leave reception you arrive into a hotel last decorated in 1989, with an air of general shabbiness and uncared for appearance. |We had a room right on the top floor that was so cramped and tiny that we had to take turns sitting in the bed whilst the other moved about the room to get ready.|Having arrived late and only staying one night the only reason we stayed is that yes the bedding was clean, fresh and a comfy bed. However, the dirty windows, extremely dusty doorframes and skirting boards (literally thick with dust) suggested that the last deep clean if the room was probably around the time it was last decorated.|I skipped breakfast, did not feel inspired to try the food after seeing the grubbiness of the rest of the hotel. |I was unable to offer any direct feedback when we left as reception was unmanned, even though we rang the bell and waited an age.|Avoid unless you love layers of old dust and...
