Mr Alexanders — Restaurant in Newcastle upon Tyne

I last went there on 19 April 2016. The bar was serving drinks right up until 11pm and then by 11:02pm the door staff were harassing people to finish their over priced drinks and leave. On querying why they were pushing people out early I was informed "because we want to go for a drink". Bless them. Needless to say, after being a regular there for 20 years, I haven't set foot in the place since. There are plenty of bars in Newcastle where you will be treated with a bit more courtesy and respect. For that kind of bar, but run properly, I would recommend The Crown Posada, The Bridge...

I gave honest feedback nearly a month ago on being asked to leave a comfy cosy lounge by 10pm on a Saturday night(advised on this at 9.45pm admittedly In a pleasant manner). Moved downstairs where there were no seats and chilly.Cannot believe tonight the accuracy of this review was denied, although not sure of David whiteheads position.Why on earth with so many bars in Newcastle would I take the time to post a dishonest review.
