Blonde girl with glasses that seated guests in at 14:00 on Thursday 21st September and manager that was also blond provided awful service. Girl with glasses was so shy we couldn’t hear a single thing she was saying. Once my food came I also asked for lemon and herb sauce. Then after 10 minutes of watching the blonde girl with glasses and manager walk around the shop recklessly and I still don’t have my sauce.( Only 3 other tables were seated and it was not busy at all). I was sick of waiting for my food to get even colder so I asked another customer if I could have their sauce from their table. I expected the two members of staff to do that 10 minutes prior to that. I expected a waiter and especially a manager to have the ability to ask their customers to share sauces that are limited for the restaurant. They both noticed I lost my patient and I was not satisfied, to which they proceeded to intentionally ignoring me and my friend for the rest of the time we were there (they asked every table how their food is apart from ours and they did not clear our plates even though we were done really early on and the shop was not busy at all) I am disappointed. Yeah the food is good as always but I read a few other reviews from a while ago and the pattern seems to be the same. Slow incompetent and shy service. It should not have to come to customers posting reviews online so that higher authority can deal with it as management inside the store are too incompetent to do their jobs. Nandos needs to do a better job of hiring the right people for the job and not just their friends and family because it’s so evident the waiters working at this nandos are not fit for the job at all. It was clear they do this on a regular basis , if there’s a customer that’s dissatisfied they just ignore them instead of trying to help improve the experience. I work in hospitality as well and the service I witnessed today would never be tolerated at my place of work. I was forced to describe the two individuals involved as staff don’t wear name badges and I didn’t trust they would give me...
Read moreI have been to the Nando’s at Eldon square a few times and this visit has made me not wish to return. While waiting in the virtual cue downstairs all me and my boyfriend could hear was one member of staff moaning and complaining to who I assume was the manager at the time. When we finally did get seated and went to order there was no peri salt available, I completely understand this is a first world problem but for a Nando’s to not be serving peri salt I think is ridiculous. When our food arrived the chips were soggy and luke warm at best and the chicken skin was burnt. It took over 10 minutes and me having to ask a server for our glasses for drinks and I even watched glasses get taken to tables that got sat after us. While eating the same woman who wouldn’t stop complaining downstairs came upstairs and the exact same happened all we could here was her going on and complaining. The staff all stood around the till for the majority of our meal and just didn’t seem like they cared at all about their job. Before I left I went to the womens toilets only to discover that out of the three toilets there one was out of order, one had no light and was pitch black and the final one had what I assume was period blood all over the seat. All in all it’s made me not want to return to this particular venue which I love! It’s so convenient and has a great view of Eldon garden! Such a...
Read more17 year old daughter been up there tonight with friends to celebrate a birthday - gave her money to pay and staff refused to take her cash - told her card payments only, she wasnt allowed to order if she was paying cash. Luckily she had her card on her so after a frantic phone call I had to transfer some more cash into her account just so she could continue with her friends. Not everyone has the use of a card, especially youngsters - cash is a legal tender and I find it disgusting that you are refusing customers who want to pay cash - yous should be ashamed - and before you jump on the covid bandwagon - yous are still open, still serving and still allowing customers in - so what difference does it make if someone pays cash or card - it should be their...
