Went in as a table of 3 and ordered 3 meals and 3 cocktails. Cocktails came quickly and were lovely. Food took about 10-15m to come, ordered a vegan burger and ended up getting a beef burger. Didn't notice myself as I haven't had meat for so long and the beyond burger looks quite similar, but luckily as I was cutting into it my friend asked and he said it was beef. Took away the food to replace and took 25m to get a new meal, meanwhile my friends we're slowly trying to eat theirs so they didn't finish it before mine even came. Burger was nice, just a burger with cheese. The fries were hard and looked like the Sainsbury's own brand ones and were half burnt. When waiting for my burger my friend tried to flag down another waiter to see what the hold up was and he was very snappy telling her to wait there. (He did have food is his hands which we didn't notice, but even after delivering he didn't actually come to help for another 5 or 10m. Wouldn't go again, for the price the food wasn't anything special and sitting for 25m without food when your table all has theirs is a bit awkward. Got the price of my meal taken off, but it was a birthday meal so that didn't make the...
Read moreThere were 4 tables of people when I went with my 10 year old daughter and her friend. Eventually a miserable man came over and asked if we had a booking. When I said no, he sighed, then looked around for ages as if it was a struggle where to seat us. He then walked over to a table and chucked some menus on it (no kids menus) and walked off. I went back and asked if we could sit in a booth or some of the comfier seats and he just said they were fully booked - this was at 3.30pm. He then went over to the bar and told the man behind it and they looked over and laughed. My daughter and her friend were at the toilets and when they came back we all decided to go somewhere else, even the girls felt uncomfortable and said the staff were rude. We did sit for a while and nobody even came to ask if we wanted drinks. From other reviews it seems this is common on a sunday (different staff?) and also that it isn't a child friendly place at all. I don't normally leave bad reviews and have never walked out of somewhere before but this was...
Read moreA nice place to eat during a shopping trip in Newcastle. Restaurant was not too busy at the time of arrival and got seated by a staff member very quickly. Tables clean and could see staff cleaning tables not long after customers had left. Menu choices were great. Ate cheesy garlic doughballs for starters which were delicious. The main course which was spaghetti and meatballs were also very tasty. Didn't have to wait long for food and both dishes came out at a nice temperature. One of the best spaghetti and meatballs I have had. Although I'm afraid I had to knock one star off because when I said to the waiter I was interested in getting a dessert, themselves and other staff seemed to loose interest in coming back to our table to take our order for this. The restaurant didn't get much busier during our time here, would understand more if it got much busier. Ended up waiting around 30-40 minutes, then decided to pay the bill and leave as we were short for time. Fairly good experience overall, but a dessert would...
