My favourite restaurant ever! The best ramen and Asian food! I have been to this exact restaurant 3 times now within the past year. We always get in straight away, the prices are reasonable and staff is friendly. Food comes out quite fast. With the Eat Out To Help Out we paid £23 for two drinks, 3 starters and 2 mains which was a great discount! We did have to wait 50 minutes to get in last Monday, which was the same time we were inside for, but it was worth waiting for and it's understandable due to the discount. The peach iced tea is the best, the katsu curry is a great classic and the ramens are my favourite! Edamame is a go to favourite, the squid starter is so nice and creamy, the bang bang cauliflower seems really popular I think it's nice but quite simple and the crispy prawns are nice as well!

My first visit to wagamama and I must say it was a mixed experience. We had to queue for 10 mins before a table was available and the chap monitoring the queue was friendly and informative. Once seated another really jolly young man talked us through the menu and how to order and pay. A young lady was our server and despite seeming friendly when taking my order, she was less so when there was a 10 min gap between some of the mains coming out, which always so disappointing as it ruined the experience as two mains were nearly done by the time the rest arrived. Her response was simply they'll arrive when they're done when I asked after 5 mins of waiting. Once the food did arrive it was delicious. I'll be back, but not in a hurry

Another Wagamama ticked off the list. Upon walking up the stairs I was greeted by a lovely young lady. Who took me to my table and gave me the menus. As usual they have an extensive range for both Vegan and non vegan. The restaurant itself is well set out, very light and open. I had a window view looking across the square. My order was taken by a young chap who I found to be very polite. I ordered my usual Bang Bang Cauli and the vegan tofu curry. Service was very fast all up I think I only waited 15 minutes for my main to come out, started came out within 10 minutes. Overall a very good experience and thoroughly recommend to anyone living or visiting Newcastle. Thank you to the staff at Wagamama 10/10

I Came to dine in and the restaurant wasn't busy roughly 15 customers less than half full

I ordered green tea but it was plain lukewarm tap water with 3 leaves absolutely no traces of a 'green' tea, ordered another one same thing happened. then I had to ask for extra leaves and proper 'hot tea'. I Was given a pot full of leaves which was nice. Somehow this has 'annoyed them' (for their own mistake?) Then a whole ignorant drama started...

For food I ordered yasai with extra rice. I have never had such a bad, dry and bland yasai from wagamamas ever for the last 3 years!! It always been the best juicy and spongy rice with nice curry but both rice are very dry. Had to ask for extra curry. Oh forgot to say they left my food unattended on the counter and even chef was looking confused- why no ones taking my food to me?? Therefore, the curry sauce became dry due to long exposure to the air and it was getting cold

However as I mentioned before the place wasn't busy none of the staff was bothered asking how's the food or is everything okay? Until I had to get the bill, the waitress did not check with me either but instead she goes: "Are you paying cash or card ?" Almost sounds like trying to get rid of me. I then was very unhappy told her my bad experiences with wagamamas today she seems like doesn't care and said they run out the rice for yasai that's why it's dry. But shouldn't this mentioned before customers ordering it?

SHE ALSO SAID JUST COMPLAIN ON GOOGLE REVIEW AND MANAGER WILL PICK UP FROM IT. I DID IT HAHA again, assuming they didn't even want to deal with it in-store.

Wagamamas has always been our go-tos for many years unfortunately not anymore. it almost seems like these 2 months whenever I go alone they would ignore me (and also single me out on a one-person seat)or something would go wrong. But if I go with my English partner EVERYTIME we would get greetted properly and foods are amazing. Do yous really have to be racist to a Chinese person when she goes to an Asian cuisine restaurant?! Plus tantanmen is not how is supposed to...

It's definitley popular for a reason.

Customer service was top notch, they catered to my very large and complex list of allergens very well, and worked hard to ensure I had a great experience. When it's busy, it takes a bit of time to get a member of staff, but they're absolutely lovely people and definitley take pride in their job.

The atmosphere is great, even if it takes a bit of volume for a person across from you to hear sufficiently. Definitely a great place to have a good meal with friends, family and colleagues.

The food was definitley the star of the show. Because of my allergies I was allergic to 100% of their Adult Starters and Mains, however the manager found that I was fine with some items in the kids menu. When taking note of the fact I was allergic to everything in the adult menu, she said the following; "Now that we see you can't have anything here, next we'll try to build you something".

Ultimately, I had a meal made up of 2 kids' Chicken Katsu (listed as mini chicken katsu). The food was amazing. The curry was spicy, but flavourful, the chicken was juicy on the inside, and pleasantly crispy on the outside. The meal came with a side of fresh cucumber and carrot strips and a portion sweetcorn. Topped with plump sticky rice.

The price ofbthe soft drinks were a tad high, but the free green tea was pleasant.

Overall, it was a wonderful and tastey experience and would...

My fiancé and I were excited to return to one of our favourite restaurants, but also apprehensive as it was our first time going back to a restaurant and dining in. We were so pleased to see all of the safety measures in place and felt safe and comfortable. The star of the evening (besides the great food) was our server Alex. She immediately came over to us and her energy was so bright and warm. My fiancé and I have specific dietary requirements and we asked for her suggestions. She took the time to lay out the options, understand our needs, and make sure we felt comfortable. We often get nervous dining in because it can be awkward to request so many substitutions. However, Alex was engaging, friendly and patient. She told us her favourite dishes and how we could modify them. I was taken aback by the outstanding customer service, as I am originally from Canada, and have found customer service here in general not as attentive as I am used to. It is safe to say our experience with Alex was the best customer service we’ve had since we’ve moved to the UK over a year ago! We live in Gateshead, but will travel specifically to the Eldon square newcastle location as all the staff we interacted with were amazing. Thank you to Alex and the rest of the team for making our first visit out a memorable and highly enjoyable one. We can’t wait to come...
