THEY WILL NOT ACCEPT CASH ? CARD ONLY ? Which is ok if u already know And close unexpectedly, seems wether they like ur face or not? The blond girl refused to serve me ? Said was last orders Then served about 20 people straight after??? People were petting my dogs and asking why she would not serve me ? A very nice kind and reasonable gentleman pissed her off by buying ME a drink lol The other member of staff said “I’ll ask “ but didn’t come back ? May I ask for what reason your staff refused me whilst serving 20+ people, your whole bar was was like “Why they won’t serve you?” Ur dogs are lush Yet when that kind reasonable man bought me a pint , she said nothing! Didn’t take it away from me ? So why didn’t she serve me ? I was polite and respectful! I’ll come in and talk to you dave, no problem! Cos that is unacceptable, to the point where a customer buys me a drink cos that blonde girl refused to serve me ! Cos whatever , then served 20-30+ even more drinks? I’m disappointed no cctv or investigations have been made before you just barred me! Hopefully ur staff will check and see ? I and %75 of the pub couldn’t understand why I was refused service whilst they were being served ? People were even saying “Just come n sit with us”? Look into it or reply instead of just banning me for one member of staff being unnecessarily rude! And me reviewing it ? I came in this pub the day it opened! I’d hope to think I don’t have to leave this review the way it is…. So I go back 2 yrs later when it’s changed hands, and I’m still barred ! The ‘barmaid’ refused me again at 10:40pm and then said ur actually barred from 2 yr ago, when I asked why, she said customers complained, which is a lie, whoever her boss then said it was cos of the above review So I am banned for the review ? We went to this pub on Friday afternoon, now normally this place would be heaving, great atmosphere, lovely food and drinks etc. We walked in and the place was deserted which is very unusual for a Friday. We soon found out why. Instead of ordering at the bar or having table service which is the norm in most places, you are told to order via their website (not even an app - i downloaded it but it doesn't work). I managed this but imagine a person less tech savvy or a person without a mobile or mobile data? The ordering process is also difficult with each alcoholic drink having a price of say £1.40 then you click on pint and it adds £2.80. Very strange! Anyway, the drinks came swiftly after ordering but I fail to see why the 3 bar staff they had on - who were all laughing and carrying on behind the bar - couldn't have taken our order and brought the card machine over or we could have just ordered at the bar and paid by card. What if someone only had cash? Most places now cater for bar ordering or table service, to only have a website ordering system is ludicrous. You can tell by the fact the place was empty that people are voting with their feet. A couple came in just after us and after being told about the ordering system they left straight away.
