ordered 8:25pm, scheduled for 9:05, arrived 10:40; what can I sayâŚ
I ordered my food at 8:25pm on the Pepeâs app. I order from there frequently so am familiar with how their app works and what their service is like - generally neutral. I selected the 9:05-9:35pm timeframe for delivery because this was the earliest possible time.
The food hadnât arrived by 9:35pm, but as the tolerant customer that I am, I remained waiting. At 9:50pm I called the store number multiple times only to be sent to the messaging service. I rang again 15 minutes later and was told by the store manager that my order had been âstuck in the systemâ - so I was happy to just leave it as a genuine mistake. However, I expected some form of compensation at having to wait an extra hour for my food. I was told that I would get a discount next time I ordered (highly doubt there will be a next time) despite me asking for a refund, and then the food would be delivered in 10-15 minutes. The food actually came practically 20 minutes later.
Upon opening my food after waiting almost two and a half hours, the chicken in my rice box was dry and burnt even though I requested extra saucy in my notes and the employee on the phone read this note out to me, whilst I was on the phone! Every member of the team radiated a sense of passion and pride in what they do. It wasnât just serviceâit felt like they truly cared about making every customer feel valued.
The team here goes above and beyond to ensure youâre comfortable, well-informed about the menu, and satisfied from start to finish. Their enthusiasm and energy are infectiousâwhether youâre a regular or a first-timer, they treat you like family.
As for the food⌠absolutely phenomenal! The flavours are rich, authentic, and perfectly balanced. You can tell that real thought and heart go into every dish. The chicken was juicy, grilled to perfection, and bursting with bold peri-peri flavour. Even the sidesâbe it the fries, rice, or fresh saladsâwere top-notch. Everything was served hot, fresh, and beautifully presented.
Itâs rare to find a place where the passion for food meets genuine customer care, but this branch nails it. Whether youâre dining in or taking away, the experience remains consistently excellent.

Within a few hours of eating their food, every single one of us fell violently ill with what turned out to be severe food poisoning. We were up all night with vomiting, stomach cramps, and diarrhoea it was absolutely horrific.
The food arrived lukewarm, the chicken smelled slightly off, and the texture was questionable (bright pink). We had our doubts but assumed a popular chain like Pepeâs would follow proper hygiene standards. Clearly, that was a mistake. This wasnât just one person getting mildly unwell â the entire family was hit hard after eating their food.
To make things worse, when we tried to contact the store to report the issue, we were brushed off and treated with complete indifference. No apology, no accountability, just denial and rudeness.
This place is a serious health risk. If you care about your well-being or your familyâs, do not order from Pepeâs. They clearly have no regard for hygiene, food safety, or customer care.
