we just had a dinner there. I tried Turkish food in many restaurant in London, Birmingham, India also. So i know the Turkish taste well. we ordered 2 mains. 1. Charcoal grilled chicken with yogurt 2. Charcol grilled salmon grilles chicken was really really good. its was marinated so well and cooked perfectly. and the sauce was really mouthwatering. we loved it so much. But the salmon was big disappointment! They burned the salmon skin completely. its taste bitter. and there was no marination and no seasoning. its totally taste bland. in every turkish restaurant the welcomed the guest with the famous traditional turkish bread. unfortunately we waited until the last moment but they didn’t served the bread in our table. But they served twice in few tables. that was so sad. The waiter was so busy with other tables. because he was alone to cover the whol restaurant alone. i can understand its very difficult to cover a big restaurant alone. but we paid money for better service. So its very important to look after each n every customer. But portion was really good

We went to the Turkish Kitchen after reading some good reviews on google. We ordered a hot meze starter, which we found a short dark hair in the hummus. I pointed this out to one of the staff without making too much of a fuss about it. The plate was taken away without so much of an apology, and then the remaining food returned on a different plate, again no apology. This did put on edge a little for the rest of the meal, but to be fair, the food was quite nice. At the end of the meal the waiter brought a free desert for us all to try, maybe as some sort of apology for the hair but nothing was mentioned. In all, the food wasn't bad but the place had no atmosphere. I don't think a re-visit is on the cards.

The staff were lovely and it was great to find a Halal restaurant in Newquay. Which I can't imagine has a large Muslim Population. Although they do serve alcohol which is not our preferred Halal location. Insha Allah in the future they can ommit and remove this from the premises - increase Barraqa in their business.

I wanted to leave some feedback so that hopefully can make some improvements.

Firstly the main dishes were great both mine and my huabands we both enjoyed and were very filling. Portion sizes were large. The chips were fantastic! Honestly best I have ever tried. We had to take away some food as it was so much.

The Turkish bread was heated and there were cold spots it was not fresh as I normally eat Turkish bread from the bakeries in London. The Hummus was also not it, unfortunatley it had started to go off and was Fizzy/sour so this was also not a fresh item also didn't taste like Turkish Hummus which is normally fantastic.

The restaurant was busy so we were lucky to get seating. Overall thw service was veey good and thw one server was able to manage all the tablea efficiently.

Unfortunatley, our takeaway a couple days later was not to the same standard as when we had food in. The chips seemed to be leftovers and were very cold and dried out, the bread was also stale and cold. However, the chicken and lamb were cooked well and the salad was good. But I feel the eat in service and food served is better then the takeaway 100%

Not the best Turkish food overall - in London and Birmingham they have some amazing places - However finding this place in Newquay is promising especially with a Halal diet.

I hope this feedback can help make improvements and would love to come back in the future to see changes - no alcohol on...

Where do I even begin 😂 Was given a 50 minute deliver window, then came the waiting game.. After an hour 10, the app (ordered from Just Eat) was showing delivered when it hadn’t. Naturally, I called the restaurant and was told they’d contact the driver and get back to me. After no callback for 10 minutes I called them back, and then had an interesting conversation regarding my phone apparently not working, which I was unaware of as I was speaking to then in my phone, it also included me being informed that our food had been delivered to a nearby caravan park and would need to go collect it from there.. I of course refused to accept that and recommended they send their own driver with a fresh batch of food or issue a refund. This was met with them speaking by to a nearby driver and advising me they would retrieved the food from whichever caravan park it was at and deliver it. Once finally met with the glorious sight of the driver with our food (who also tried to claim it was due to the wrong number on the receipt .. which also had our address might I add) and so ended up being delivered 2 hours later. Luckily we had the over preheated as it of course was cold by the time we got it, and despite the fact we were absolutely ravenous by that time, I can’t say it was anything exciting taste wise. If I could, I’d give it 0 stars, but alas they are given the singular.

So to conclude, if you’re looking to pay £58 for 3 people, wait 2 hours for your food to arrive & before gaslit, then by all means, give this place a try, otherwise I’d recommend saving your time and money and patience for something worth giving...

I recently had the opportunity to dine at a Turkish kitchen in Newquay, and while the food had its moments, I was left disappointed by the overall experience, primarily due to the customer service.

To begin with, the food was decent—flavorful and authentic in many respects—but nothing particularly outstanding. I found the dishes to be satisfactory, but considering the price point, I expected a bit more flair and creativity in the offerings.

However, the service really overshadowed my meal. The attitude of the staff, particularly one individual, was notably off-putting. We encountered an issue when it came time to settling the bill; they were unable to split it for us, insisting that the payment method could only be either all cash or all card, as the order was already in the system. It felt frustrating and inflexible, especially when dining with friends.

What was really surprising was the demeanor of the staff member handling the situation. He came across as rude and uninterested, which is hard to understand for anyone in the hospitality business. It left a sour note for what could have been a pleasant evening. On the brighter side, our waiter was polite and attentive, which provided a slight reprieve from the experience.

All in all, while the food was acceptable, the service left much to be desired. It’s hard to recommend a place where the attitude can significantly detract from the dining experience. Perhaps a little retraining on customer service could go a long way in improving...
