Charlie Friday’s is my go to coffee shop in Lynton! I’m not sure how to sum up my feelings about this place in one little review. First off, their coffee is amazing. Every single drink I’ve tried has been excellently handcrafted and served in a cute cup. Secondly, their full English (or even just half English) is the best in the area, and by area I mean all of North Devon. Seriously, I don’t even like mushrooms but I like the mushrooms in their full English. I don’t know how they do it. Lastly, their gluten free brownies (pro tip: get one warmed up with clotted cream). I’m not gluten free and yet still frequently get their gluten free brownies. That’s how tasty they are. You can’t even tell they’re gluten free. Almost forgot their nachos! How could I forget the nachos? Whatever they put on those is pure magic because I don’t understand how else they can be so delicious. Basically, just go here and order anything off the menu and you will be content. Plus the decor and atmosphere is just the funnest, coziest, and loveliest.

Charlie Friday's provides a bustling atmosphere, particularly noteworthy as one of the only cafes open in the area. Unfortunately, the food was served lukewarm and the bacon was quite hard and chewy which was a real shame. While the staff seemed slightly rushed, it's understandable given the circumstances. On a positive note, the milkshakes and smoothies were delightful, adding a sweet touch to the experience. The vibrant interior adds a lively ambiance, making it a decent option for those seeking a unique and energetic coffee shop setting. Overall, the cafe could do with some improvement on their cooked food, but the drinks menu is definitely their strong point.

Awesome food. We had jackfruit bean chilli loaded fries, Buddha bowl, a couple of Brownies and drinks. The chilli was delicious with great spice, flavour, and a generous portion. The Buddha bowl was also filling, with high quality ingredients. Super selection, especially for me, gluten-free bod! Awesome vibe too with some excellent music choices. Spent a couple of hours here relaxing with our dog. Service was great. People who run the place are also lovely. We've been to Lynton a few times and this is by far the best stop we've made for food. Probably one of best cafes we've been to in the UK. Highly recommend!

Possibly the best coffee I've had in a long time (and I have an 8 year old and 7 month so I know what I'm talking about!!) Very child and dog friendly and great food! We had a waffle sharing board which was delicious and my son had his own waffle breakfast (and some of ours too), the full English breakfast also had a great review from our table! We were desperate to come back before we left but they didn't open in time (on a Sunday so I don't blame them!) But we will definitely be back next time!!

Lovely friendly cafe… (but it the felt more like a chilled trendy cool bar when I was there in the evening). Award winning apparently (various awards on the walls). Serves food and had craft beer/lager/cider on draft. I turned up around 6.30pm Friday evening on spec, and was greeted with a smile, and helpful advice. It was open mic night, so food options were limited to burritos. That suited me. Perfect! Really tasty, good price, served quickly. I’ll be back. Thank you.

Lovely little cafe, very accommodating to dietary requirements & great veggie options. We had the granola & berry yogurt pot, Mexican hot chocolate, cinnamon swirl, Huevos Rancheros & Vanilla oat milk latte. Food was delicious, came out quick and was a good portion. My coffee was best I’ve had in a long time! It is very dog friendly & well laid out inside with comfortable seating, staff are friendly & helpful, really lovely colourful decor and lots of choice on the menu.
