Accidentally stumbled across this hidden gem of a pub. Everything about this place is perfect. The landlord Terry goes out of his way to accommodate everyone and misses nothing. He helped our 14 year old daughter experience her first time performing at an open mic night. Preparing Sasha (the compare) for her arrival and made our holiday. This is the BEST local pub you will find. Reasonable prices, winky the dog, the OLDEST PUB IN ILFRACOMBE that controversially/conveniently gets left off of the local tour guide. You have to go here. We extended our stay so we could visit again. Yes it really is that good. Even if you just go to throw money in the well that they collect for children’s hospice, just go! You’ll be glad you did....

A group of around 10 of us stumbled upon this lovely little pub, hoping for a good night out in Ilfracombe The landlord soon advised that we would be stuck there due to transportation issues after a certain time and even attempted to see if he could arrange a taxi for us all We stayed for a few drinks and a few games of pool The landlord was very accommodating Drinks prices are very reasonable The pub has so much charm If you are in Ilfracombe, you really should pop in I hope this Pub will be there for many more years to come Thanks for having us The stagg...

What a lovely little pub. I’m away with my mom and Nan and we really was thirsty so seen this pub and I’m glad we stopped here. The staff member I forgot her name ( blonde young lady ) was happy to sit and talk with us and she was so polite. The drinks was lovely. We had a game of snooker and darts too. The toilets was clean and it was a well kept pub. The price was reasonable too. I can’t comment on the food as we didn’t have none but what a lovely little pub. I would come back again and highly recommend...
