We attended a cocktail making class. Group booking. Choice of three different types of cocktails to make one chosen from each group. The guy that was teaching us was very good. We weren't sure about rhw type of rum used in the mojito, we had dark run but we thought it was white? By the by, no nibbles whilst making cocktails which would have been beneficial. We were a group of 8 and spent a lot of time sharing equipment which isn't awful but does slow the process sown somewhat. Once we'd completed the masterclass it was time to pay, and we're told it'd be £35 as there is a £10 extra charge at the weekend. We hadn't been made aware of this, and the issue was sorted by management. If you're planning on booking, please do, they're great, just confirm the prices before hand and in writing. Vinnie and I were called last minute to cover DJing a gig at The Snug on Sun St in Hitchin last night - and we had an absolute blast! What should've been a 2 hour journey on the M25 took us almost 4 after a lorry had overturned so we arrived slightly later than we'd hoped to but blimey, was the trip worth it. We had a great night meeting the locals there and think we hit a record for the amount of requests we took on the karaoke. We were made to feel so welcome and loved by those who enjoyed our little show too. We hope we get another opportunity to come back to The Snug again. With the many bars placed in Hitchin, it could be difficult to choose what place to go to for a couple of drinks with friends. Snug bar in Hitchin has managed to pull this atmosphere off perfectly. With a friendly atmosphere and welcoming staff you truly couldn’t go wrong. Floor staff that tend to your drinks at the table and help with any quick concerns you have, to the bar staff who create complex and incredibly nice drinks with ease and pace.
