(Edit 23 July 2025, we have been twice in the last 6 months and have to say the food was excellent. And have added some new photos) We went in for dinner on 10th December 2024 and we are very glad we did as the whole experience was one to remember. What a real treat it was and a really lovely bistro feel, as you walk in you have the kitchen area in front where you are welcomed by Matt, and can see the cooking process in action. The food, service and atmosphere were all top notch. We had three courses with wine. Unfortunately I didn't take a photo of my starter which was "Bubble and Fish" - a beautifully cooked haddock fish cake with a slice of bacon and poached egg topped with hollandaise sauce. My main was the shin of beef Ragu tagliatelle with parmesan shavings, once again beautifully cooked and full of beefy Ragu flavour. Two of our party had the chicken breast in a creamy mushroom sauce and potato rosti with delicately cooked greens. For dessert we shared the sticky toffee pudding with locally made vanilla ice cream which was also a real delight. Highly recommend this lovely establishment. Be advised the menu does change, which is to be expected, so the online menu is a representative of the type of food you can...

Henry's Cafe

Henry's cafe is located on the east side of Cromer at the end of Church Street about a 5 minute walk from the church itself and just round the corner from North Lodge Park.

Henry's is open from 8 till 8 the only independent cafe in town which does this. Also it stays open in all weathers.

The cafe itself is very popular with locals and the holidaymakers who are a bit more adventurous and prepared to  walk along Church Street away from the bright lights.

Inside the cafe a warm welcome awaits from the owner and his wife, there is copious seating available in different rooms leading off the main entrance. These contain informal settees and regular coffee table seating. There are a range of tea and coffee styles available along with a variety of food choices both hot and cold, making it a great place to have lunch away from the office.

At night the atmosphere changes from the hubbub of the daytime  to one of a relaxed chilled lounge atmosphere with soft lighting. Henry's is great as a meeting place before going on to other destinations, or just sitting and watching the world go by. In particular drivers incapable of understanding what a...

Visited this completely on the off chance while popping to see a friend in Cromer and it is hands down one of the best restaurants I’ve visited in the last few years across Norfolk and Suffolk.

One of the highest levels of service I have ever received in a restaurant - all staff were so helpful, friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere of the restaurant was wonderful and has been decorated fantastically - would highly recommend a window seat to watch the world go by.

The food was absolutely incredible - not an overcrowded menu, but still a wide ranging selection - everything we ordered was a taste journey, with great flavour combinations, quality ingredients and cooked to absolute perfection. Highly recommend the pork belly, and sirloin - along with the passion fruit brûlée. All of this was at a 100% reasonable price, would happily pay a further 50% on what we paid for the quality alone!

Can’t believe I haven’t come across this restaurant that is so local to me before, will definitely...
