My wife & I have been staying in Beeston Regis (Norfolk) regularly over the past 6 years or so & we have really struggled to find anywhere really nice to eat. I found Marmalade's Bistro through TripAdvisor and I was impressed with the good reviews, so I booked a table for two, to celebrate Paula's Birthday.

Ben (The Chef & I presume Owner too) was extremely obliging when I rang to try and arrange a larger get together for a family group, but unfortunately they were fully booked on my preferred date. Nevertheless, we managed to get a table on our second choice date / time, this time just for two of us.

The food was great & the ambience was very nice (with very comfy chairs ☺ ). Front of house was covered very well too & Hailey made sure that we (and all of the other diners) were looked after properly. Nothing was too much trouble!

I am a self confessed "foodie" & I would say that, in twenty or so years of dining out, I can recall two soups that stand out as worthy of note. Now thanks to Ben, I have a third! His Tomato & Rosemary soup was something very special. It isn't hard to see why this restaurant is award winning repeatedly. The passion is self evident.

Keep up the great work & see you...

Whilst staying in Sherringham, Marmalade was recommended as a must visit place to catch a bit to eat so we booked. The venue is very inviting and has some very unique lighting, which is adds to the ambiance.

The staff are friendly and do their upmost to make you feel at home. The menu is an interesting mix of curiosity and excitement. We went with mushrooms and the Duck spring rolls. I'm told the mushrooms were delicious and my duck dish was good and, would've been great had the carrot & orange chutney delivered a bigger punch.

On to mains... I always say it's a good sign whe everyone chooses a different dish 🙌🏽. The pork belly n chorizo was nice, the stuffed chicken breast was good and the slow cooked lamb the winner, sadly leaving no room for dessert. Would've given ⭐⭐⭐⭐ but for some small things like, only 1 WC and our waitress not pouring the 1st drink on a bottle of fizz. I think the bill for 3 of us was around the £120 mark. This place has real potential to be that sparkling diamond and is well worth the visit but be sure to book else you'll find that...

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A must-visit gem in town!

If you’re anywhere near, do yourself a favour and pop into Marmalade’s Bistro. We had a cracking evening here — from start to finish, it was spot on.

We kicked off with crispy spring rolls and a tangy sweet chilli dip, which vanished in seconds. Then came the hearty pasta with meatballs — silky ribbons of tagliatelle drenched in a rich tomato sauce, topped with juicy meatballs that packed a real punch.

For mains, the slow-cooked beef with tenderstem broccoli was melt-in-the-mouth perfection, bathed in a flavourful gravy. The herb-crusted fish on a creamy caper sauce was equally lush, fresh and beautifully balanced.

The place itself is cosy and welcoming, with lovely staff who genuinely look after you. Presentation was top-notch, but most importantly — everything tasted fantastic.

Whether you’re after a laid-back dinner or just keen to treat yourself, Marmalade’s Bistro is well worth a visit. We’ll...

We prebooked and a nice touch with a birthday card on the table as it was my husbands 40th birthday. A good selection on the menu.  My husband had the crab starter which he really liked.  Subtle Asian flavours and delicate crab meat. My Pigeon breast was pink and tender and the salad fresh. For main we both opted for lamb rump and Anna potato. The lamb rump was slow cooked and just the touch of a fork broke it apart. The Anna potato was buttery and crisp of the bottom and soft inside.  The sauce was excellent. Perfectly cooked asparagus to go with it. Dessert we had panacotta.. lime and coconut. Had a good wobble a lovely poppy seed biscuit for a bit of crunch and fresh raspberry blueberry and strawberry. Even a little rendition of happy birthday as it was placed on the table.  Very sweet.  A great way to finish. The Picpoul wine was also good. Excellent service and a very enjoyable meal. £92 excluding tip. Would go again.
