Day visitors to Cromer (although 'local' not holidaymakers) we arrived at the cafe shortly after 12.30pm with approx 75 minutes left on town centre parking. Seated, received hot drinks and placed food order fairly quickly. Both chose festive lunches - mine supposedly Vegan. 1.10pm - queried how much longer food was going to be as we were concerned about car park running out- told 3 mins. Queried again - somewhat crossly - at 1.20pm. Food finally arrived at about 1.25pm - giving us barely 10 mins to woof it down before the 20 min rush back to the car park - not easy as I'm recovering from a broken knee cap! Tbh my husband found his meal quite nice - shame he didn't have the time to enjoy it. Mine was a disappointment - the 'luxury festive roast' was a pile of fairly tasteless rice with barely cooked roast potatoes, but nicely cooked greens, swimming in vegetable stock. The Waitress apologised for missing roast parsnips and carrots, both cooked in honey apparently despite earlier assuring me the entire meal was suitable for a Vegan diet. However I am extremely grateful the chef realised it would have been unacceptable to put them out the plate. The waitress persisted in arguing that some Vegans eat honey - incorrect!!! Strict Vegetarians probably do, but dietary Vegans do not eat ANY animal produce. The bane of my life are idiots who claim to be Vegan making it extremely difficult for those of us that are, and obviously catering staff. Prices are on the high side, but this pretentious cafe is situated in an iconic location and times are tough at the moment for the...

Had higher expectations for this place as first time i passed by and brought ice cream with my daughter… staff were very kind. Went second time with my partner for fish and chips and the food was terrible the worse fish and chips we ever had ( fish and chips lovers) …

Battered fish was so overcooked ( burned in my opinion) and small we couldn’t get any fish from it, and the chips were the frozen oven kind, all very dry and tasteless; no curry 😳 just tartare sauce… we didn’t eat any of it.. overpriced for what was served…

Staff were alright, i kindly explained and was visible anyway so we only payed for one, went straight to the fish and chips on the corner ( our usual)… first time we actually walked out of a place without being able to eat… keeping in mind that my partner can pretty much eat anything šŸ˜…

just a pity as the place is in such a nice locationā€¦šŸ¤·šŸ¼ā€ā™€ļø still...

Wait over an hour and half for what I can only describe as food that I wouldn't feed my dog!!! We order a fish finger sandwich tuna sandwich tuna and cheese sandwich and 2 cheese sandwich the cheese was definitely not the advertised monterey jack cheese and can only be described as the most mild cheese on the planet. The fish finger sandwich was definitely not like the other sandwich that we had seen going out when we sat down before ordering. When we ask where our order was, we were told they was a big wait, at no point while ordering had we been informed of this, had we know this we would have not ordered. Basically over priced and below average food that my 11 year could have made better but get away with the price just because they are on the...

Very few places would serve you up a better view to eat your seafood. Outside, in the sun on a pier is simply stunning. Atmosphere is very nice outside too with people enjoying their meals and drinks in a really relaxed way. We had fish and chips and a cromer crab salad. Fish was cooked perfectly and the batter was lovely. Chips were good, not perfect. Cromer Crab was delicious and fresh and was the highlight. It's not a cheap eat, but the views and food in such a nice environment is worth it.

Family of four had an amazing evening dinner 09/08/23. Had starters of tempura prawns, whitebait, red pepper humus and chicken & chorizo skewers. Main meals - Cromer crab salad, wholetail scampi, pan fried salmon, fish & chips (picture attached). All eight plates were cleared, had to ask my adult children to finish my chips, (which were AMAZING, crunchy on the outside, soft in the middle). Thankyou Dylan and others for a great meal, would not hesitate returning. The Edwards family šŸ™‚

Visiting Cromer we wanted Fish and Chips and decided to try Tides Bistro which is on the Pier . Although at £18 it might seem expensive but we got a large piece of cod which had an excellent batter and the chips seemed to be double cooked . I chose Mushy Peas which were lovely and minty , there was also a good quality Tartare sauce . The staff are very pleasant and efficient and overall a very enjoyable meal.
