Should have had some food but drink and meeting people was the order of the day what a great place to meet up music not too loud lots of people vdry friendly and all of our comapny said this would be the place to spend an evening when in tynemouth think it may be alot busier at weekends and with it on the small side compared to others will of course fill up quickly so best by in there early get your seat and watch the world go by staff very very friendly and more than the usual happy for a busy pub so we will of course be popping in as much as we can just to be...

End-of-the-night favourite – great atmosphere and always a laugh!

Barca’s always the place we head towards the end of the night – never disappoints. Great vibe, loud enough to feel lively but you can still have a chat. It’s always busy, but in a good way.

Really solid beer selection and the door staff are genuinely friendly, which makes a big difference. They even let us bring in Sophie (our black boxer puppy) – and she got plenty of attention! Everyone loved her.

We visited Tynemouth for a week and the Barca became our local for the duration of our stay. We loved everything about it, the atmosphere, the deco, the staff, the locals and the range of beers, ciders and cocktails. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The locals were too. Us and our 2 dogs were made to feel more than welcome with plenty of dog treats given to our girls from staff and locals. Our only regret was that we couldn't become permanent locals! We will definitely be back next time we are...
