The Brasserie Tynemouth — Restaurant in North Tyneside

The food was great. I tried the king prawn risotto starter and smoked salmon salad starter and they were both lovely. The risotto in particular. Perfectly seasoned. Wild mushroom gnocchi and beef medallions for mains were both exceptionally well cooked and again perfectly seasoned. Didn't touch the salt and pepper on the table once. For the quality of the food it was very reasonably priced as well so can't complain on that front. Restaurant is in a lovely location but unless you have a window seat then the decor does seem slightly dated but that's personal taste. The service was quick and efficient throughout and we retired to the connecting pub afterwards for a few drinks.
