Extremely disappointing. Ordered 1 pizza and a garlic bread at 7pm and told it might take 40 minutes. At 8:10pm we still had no food, no one had come over to say sorry it was taking so long, and we were also seeing people who arrived after us, getting their food, so I have no idea the food could have taken this long? The restaurant wasn’t particularly busy - plenty of free tables, so again, not sure on the delay. Additionally, after seeing others receiving their food, at 8:15pm I went up to ask if they knew when ours would be ready and magically it appeared ready, although there was no apology for the delay. Then, when they brought it to us, they didn’t bring the two drinks also ordered with the pizzas. On top of that, there was still no apology on the wait, and to add insult to that, they then brought out the order for people next to us who were there for less than half the time we were, and they got an apology for the delay! Really just terrible service, the pizza was ok, but lacked many toppings. I wouldn’t recommend going here at all.

The best pizza in Tynemouth, in fact the best pizza in the whole toon. Wor lass is Italian and she approves, she said it teleported her back to Napoli for a moment. A moment where she understood everyone’s accent and could smell the Mediterranean air. All nostalgic, it even brought a tear to her eye mainly because she didn’t have to decipher the Geordie accent. This pizza has ignited something deep rooted within her because now all she talks about now is why we should live in Italy. If it wasn’t for crust social, I would have never considered even moving to Italy. Now it’s a reality. You’ll hear me singing: “Tell me ma me ma, I won’t be home for tea for tea, coz we are off to Italy. ITALY! Tell me ma me ma”

Great food freshly prepared, but the stars of the show are the staff. Friendly and accommodating to us and our 2 yr old. Even playing a little hide and seek with him. To drink a reasonably priced local pint. And finally the desserts are amazing. Pistachio and raspberry cake slice I took away, discovered it was fantastic. Would go back again, a great alternative to fish and chips in Tynemouth

Disappointing quality and food safety concerns

We ordered on Wednesday 29th Oct: Garlic Bread with Cheese Pizza and Verdura Pizza. Both arrived undercooked, doughy, and stone cold. There was no apparent thermal management in transit. After only a slice each, we both had upset stomachs later that evening and the next day.

The cheesecake was a small portion cut from a larger pre-made/catering dessert. It tasted like it had been thawed and refrozen multiple times, which affected the quality—grainy texture and not smooth.

For £30+, we expected far better. Very disappointed.

What we’d expect:

Properly cooked pizzas served hot. Safe handling and temperature control during delivery. Fresh dessert with consistent texture.

Order details:

Date: Wed 29 Oct Items: Garlic Bread with Cheese Pizza, Verdura Pizza, Cheesecake, Olives Spend: £30+ We won’t be ordering again unless quality and food...

I love pizza, perhaps not as much as my partner, but I can be quite picky about it.

I ordered the salami and chili honey, and it was absolutely divine!

The taste is perfect. The honey smooth over the spiciness and the result is just addictive (I don’t think I have eaten a pizza this fast before).

But what really surprised me was how good the dough is. It’s a thin base (which I prefer) but it’s doughy and perfect. I have had so many pizza which when you eat the crust it’s so hard your jaw starts to hurt, but definitely not this one. Don’t get me wrong it’s still tough but just enough, as it should be to enjoy it without hurting your jaw.

My partner had the Nduja, which was a bit spicier than mine, but not overwhelming so.

We will come back...
