On arrival I was greeted by a young women. She was very polite and helpful. Booking in was very straight forward. The room was not what I expected, main problem it was freezing, the radiator was barely warm, they did compensate by way of a small blow heater, which I left on all night, which made the temperature bearable. But would suggest they up grade their central heating system, and put secondary glazing in. More than two tea bags would be helpful. The shower was okay, but it took rather a long time, due to water flow. However that said the room was very clean as were the facilities. On going down for breakfast I saw the same young women who booked me in cleaning a room, she then served me breakfast so I guess she is doing everything on her own. Food was very good and reasonably priced. Car parking at rear.

Absolutely fantastic food. Not your traditional pub grub, the food is wonderfully put together and everything is made to feel as though your spending twice the amount than you actually are. All of the staff are incredibly nice. Very good selection of beer on tap. Can’t fault anything about it.

Absolutely lovely pub with a really pretty, spacious beer garden. Staff were so friendly, chatty and very happy to help. Food was very tasty at affordable prices, leaving my tummy very full. Will definitely be going back 😁

Met up with some old school friends at The Swan. As I was late arriving, (as I usually am), we arrived about an hour before closing. Great little place with excellent music. We decided to go to the Red Lion. What a huge mistake (should have gone to the Bell). The bouncers made my partner, my son and me outside while they were chatting to a group of lads that wanted entry. Alas, they would not let them in. Then they said my son & me could go in but not my partner. No explanation, we had just been waiting as requested. I went in to explain to the rest of our party. Whilst in there, the young bouncer with a beard told me son, "he heard my partner had been swaying", my son asked if he seen this, to which he replied no. My son informed him rightly so, that what he heard & what he seen are 2 different things! We ended up going home at 11:40! By this time I was soaked as it started raining. No wonder the place was empty, with bouncers refusing entry. Get yourself a decent security firm, or you will have no...

Food was reasonable but service very very poor. About 45 minutes after ordering the young waiter came to the table to say that one of the dishes wasn't available. Another 20 minutes or so passed with no sign of any food, so one of our party went to enquire at the bar to be told that there was no one about with any authority but they would chase it up. The food arrived with no mention of the long wait. After eating we went to pay at the bar. The chap came over was told that we wanted to pay, walked across the other side of the bar and served another customer, so we had to approach someone else. A shame as the food was ok, but customer service dreadful and whoever was in charge on a Saturday evening obviously not interested. We won't...
