Balti Cottage — Restaurant in North Warwickshire

This place does not even deserve the one star I had to give to air my views, firstly the food was very poor to the point of being inedible, also they are not open about their prices , BEWARE you even get charged for the dips and onion salad with your poppadoms, , the first time that has ever happened to me

Also double check your bill if you have the misfortune to find yourself eating here as they had made several mistakes on ours.

What should have been a lovely evening with good friends was ruined due to this excuse for a curry house, wish we hadn't paid , obviously we didn't leave a tip but if they read their own reviews take this tip Close Down ASAP.

Awful service and food was not edible!

Edit: I am adding to this review in light of a response from Balti Cottage (see below) who claim that we did not bring our dissatisfaction to their attention during out visit.

Firstly I question how they can remember, since it took them 4 years to reply!

Unfortunately, I remember the occasion distinctly. We ordered a mushroom balti, which was greasy with oil floating on the top. We complained and asked for another one with less oil, but it came exactly the same. Then we also complained about the chicken tikka masala as it didn't taste nice. They said "that's just how it comes", and eventually swapped it for something else, which wasn't much better. They weren't in any way apologetic, and if anything became defensive and were reluctant to help.

I don't usually like to complain, but in this instance the food and service quality were so appalling that I had to leave a negative review. I hope that Balti Cottage can now take this feedback on board, rather than dismissing it with a generic message that does not take responsibility for their...

Venue: Charming historic building that gives you a cosy dining experience, my only minor issue is that the lighting is a little to bright.

Food: grate traditional Bangladeshi food that is very flavoursome and rich, the establishment pride them selves on there food heratidge to the point that they will only serve the majority of there signature dishes in house and not for takeaway/delivery.

I highly recomend customers to step away from the very British loving curry dishes like madras/Tika masala and sample the chefs specials/house specials, chicken Schileti chilli, zinga zafrani and chicken or lamb nadapori are some of my personal favourites.

Staff: friendly and very welcoming with complimentary drinks and after dinner sweets.
