Partridges Deli — Restaurant in North Warwickshire

We had gone in to order 5 sandwiches for our office this morning. The cafe itself wasn't busy and there was no other customers queueing or waiting on food, however when we went to order our sandwiches we were told 'can you ring through next time you want to order this many sandwiches you're putting pressure on the kitchen'. We advised that we are happy to wait and the response we got was 'that's not the point'. We have phoned through in the past to be advised it's easier to just pop in so at this point I'm not too sure what they'd actually prefer?

I could appreciate it if they were busy, but it was quiet, and it is only 5 sandwiches at the end of the day, surely as a cafe if you can't handle somebody walking in and ordering 5 sandwiches whilst also stating they are willing to wait then you are doing some of the fundamentals extremely wrong?

I'm not expecting Michelin star service of course considering we've used there before and know what to expect, however staff members not being rude and hypocritical would be a great starting point.

We asked for some bacon not well done and it was taken so literally that it was still oinking whilst in the sandwich, and I think there must be a brown sauce shortage on the horizon that only this cafe are currently aware of!

Very disappointed today. Food is really good here and my girlfriend and I really enjoy coming here. However the staff are letting down the cafe. The staff didn’t have a smile or any kind of warmth today. Lady serving drinks to customers made a comment to the guy on the till about a table who were dining. His response was “tell em to get stuffed”

This was kind of the feel in the restaurant today. If I were to sum up the staff in one word it’d be, ‘Miserable’!

I felt like the mood today was less like walking into a friendly restaurant in a small town but more like walking into a moody pub in a rough neighbourhood

Which is a shame because it’s got the potential to be lovely. I noticed that the staff are also scruffy! Which sounds like I’m being unfair but scruffy trainers isn’t a great look when serving food.

I realise it’s ‘just a cafe’ but staff being friendly and presentable is basic standards that even ‘just a cafe’ should have surely.

Can’t fault the food. But I’d suggest some in house training regarding customer interaction and services.

I past this business many times But I recently went in for breakfast Wow what a surprise it's like a tardis So big inside I had a full English breakfast with buttered toast and a cappuccino yummy very nice Such a lovely calm atmosphere lovely and clean place staff very friendly with a lovely attitude didnt really wait long for our food and it was quite busy everyone knew what they were doing like a good team then I had a look round the deli afterwards lovely stocked cabinets with refrigerated meats pork pie scotch eggs susages oh I just remembered I also had beautiful moist bread pudding I will certainly call again a try a iris breakfast well done to all the staff for making my...
