De La Zouch indian asian restaurant — Restaurant in North West Leicestershire

Visited restaurant on 29/2/20 there was very 6 of us. We usually go to Rickshaw but as it was cold we went to de la zouch. It was the worst curry I’ve ever had and I’ve been eating curry for many years. I had tikka masala for a change. The chicken was awful I really struggled to chew and swallow it. The sauce was powdery and dry. My partner who always orders the same chicken madras or vindaloo had madras. He said the same. All the others in the party said the same. Garlic Nan was awful. Avoid at all costs. Save your money. If I could of given it no stars I would of done. Toilets were awful not clean at all. Running water in there needs looking at. If i could've put 0 stars i would have. The worst restaurant I've been to, it was overcrowded and extremely noisy, took 20 minuets for drinks to be served after an hour and a half we had just finished starters. Then a waiter spilled rice over somebody and then in the next 5 minuets spilled a drink over someone else and then knocked empty glasses over. The food was average and the drinks were flat, would not recommend going. Then we had to wait 10 minuets for the bill. Also the stairway was 1 person only and was difficult...

Food was nice, but the service was very slow. We went in on a Friday evening and although there were quite a few people in when we arrived they all were eating their main courses or had finished. It took 20 minutes from us being seated to anyone taking our drinks order and another 15 minutes before our food order was taken. We then waited 10 minutes more for the poppadoms. The main courses were very nice, but being charged £2.50 for a bottle of tap water is a bit steep. All in all an average...
