🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 What a gem of a café! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm smile and the comforting aroma of freshly brewed coffee. The building is modern and welcoming — the perfect place to relax, catch up with friends, or enjoy a slow morning.
We ordered the large full English breakfast and it was absolutely delicious — everything cooked perfectly, from the crispy bacon to the golden eggs. With 3 of everything- it was HUGE and only £13. We also tried the smashed avocado on thick brown toast with mushrooms, which was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. To top it all off, the owner even gave us a free hash brown — such a lovely, thoughtful gesture that really made our morning!
The staff were friendly, attentive, and clearly take pride in what they do. The food, the coffee, and the overall experience were faultless.
The freshly squeezed orange juice machine is a brilliant addition to the cafe.

Read moreI heard about this lovely cafè and I decide to pop in today and since I pass through the main door I felt my self be surrounded by a nice and warm atmosphere. The owner, I'm assume, invite me to sit at one the table inside. It's good that even though business like this one has been affect by this pandemic the staff around was very friendly not just with me but with the other customers and they always served me with a big smile! My lunch break was made by a combination between this place, people around and great food! I had a pita gyros and I enjoyed every single part of my meal everything was clearly fresh and the homemade zazitky sauce has been a quite good surprise, chips were amazingly fried. Before leave I had a Pumpkin spice latte topped with whipped cream spices and for coffee lovers like me I can only say that was very tasted! I will definitely coming back to the Olive Branch Cafè in Ashby because I can't wait to try all the other meals on the menu. I will recommend this place to everyone the quality is...
Read moreUpdate May 2025: still visiting, the kids are (a lot) bigger these days. I still like the place, but it has lost the special touch it had in the early days. The breakfast is „OK“, and the coffee is „OK“. I guess places get complacent, or just stuck in the daily grind. The ingredients don‘t seem such good quality. Maybe it is psychological, and I am not writing this with any ill intention. I just think the owners need to look around, look at the competition in town. They are no longer the number one, not by a long way. Maybe that‘s the plan - just a steady cash cow. But the cafe used to be so good. Look at the menu, innovate, change - keep up because nothing lasts forever.
Really good spot, which I was introduced to by my teenage sons! Excellent coffee and breakfasts. Run by the son of the Fish & Chip shop on Smisby road. Really good, friendly service. Always try and visit when I’m back to...
