Giving two stars because the service was decent. Today was my second time having brunch at Joxer, previously I tried the Hollywood establishment - both were equally as bad.

Myself and my partner both ordered the chicken flatbread dish that came with chips, we were shocked at the huge monstrosity pile of sauce and chips that came to the table. Joxer transformed what is usually a simplistic, tasty dish into this

It didn’t come with Tzatziki as was on the menu, but instead came out smothered in their tasteless mayonnaise based sauce which added no flavour, just made the chips soggy and the dish congeal into one big mayonnaise lump. The chicken was tender but horribly spiced, it tasted like someone accidentally dumped a whole jar of oregano on it. The flatbread was store bought, truly unremarkable.

This dish cost 14.50, for that price you would expect them to put an ounce of thought into the dish composition. They must think adding a pile of deepfried things and sauce to a dish masked it good… Seriously don’t know how they managed to mess up a basic chicken...

Our experience was not good. When we arrived my wife and I were shown to a table in the bar. When we requested to sit at a table in the restaurant we were told the tables were all reserved. However by the time we left, the patrons present had all left but one. New patrons had not replaced them and the place was empty. My seat was in full view of the bars dishwasher which was running during my meal. The 3 waitress also stood right beside our table, about 2 feet away through out our time here gossiping loudly. Our drinks were also very weak. My 'Old Fashioned' was a £10 Ice cube with very little by way of anything else. The food was the most positive part of the experience, but at the price point it underperformed. A pity. The decor is nice, and the music was modern but appropriate. The restaurant was very humid and muggy during our visit (perhaps due to steam from the dish washer), as there are no ceiling fans or air conditioning it made eating there uncomfortable, so I couldn't...

Nice meal and good service, right up until the point we paid our bill which was brought to us as soon as we finished desert, without us asking for it. Not thinking anything of it I even regretfully left a tip. Once payment was taken we were asked if we had any drinks left to finish as another couple had the table booked from 20:15. This was at 20:21, making us feel like we had already over stayed our welcome. We were quite shocked to say the least and didn’t know what to say, once the waitress left I checked my email confirmation which said we had the table from 19:00 to 20:45, as had the person who phoned to confirm our booking. We booked a taxi and had to wait outside in the freezing cold for it to arrive. Really sour ending to an otherwise lovely night. Awful service, clearly so they could accommodate a walk in. Safe to say we...

First visit and certainly won't be the last - loved the place! Extremely welcoming vibe provided by the very friendly staff, excellent tunes and cozy lighting. Great selection of drinks, including some quality local beers and then there's the food... absolutely delicious! Could very easily go for a selection of the small plates, tapas style, with a special mention to the broccoli tempura, but the variety of the mains made it very hard to choose. Thought has also gone into the kids' menu, rather than the usual nuggets and chips that a lot of places go for as an afterthought, so an excellent option for an early evening family meal too. Will definitely become a regular and can't wait to try the brunch menu!

Went today, Sunday for brunch. Was pretty busy, I don't know if this is usual but it was a lovely day for October and lots of walkers about. Got served coffees as we sat at window waiting for a table. Was pleasant enough watching the world go by. Soon after we were lead to our table. Served bottle of water which saved me asking for it. Both got Holywood fry. Was delicious, non greasy and cooked to perfection. Staff were attentive but not suffocating. Place is dog friendly too which we liked but some might not due to allergies etc. Looking forward to going again.

I moved to NI a month ago and have frequented Joxer twice with friends already. Absolutely lovely staff, gorgeous atmosphere and delicious food. The coconut margarita is a game changer and their menu is inventive, high quality and so flavourful. We’ve loved everything we’ve tried. The owners and staff obviously take such pride in their work and I am happy to support such a great business. At a time that feels so uncertain I appreciate being treat like a human and invited into this establishment and feeling a sense of community and normalcy. Thank you Joxer!
