Lynchpin Holywood — Restaurant in Northern Ireland

Lynchpin is a plant-based restaurant which specialises in brunch but hosts a Supper Club which changes monthly. We called down to try their Brunch menu which has good spread of sweet and savoury options. We started with the French Toast which was fantastic. We loved the poached pears and the bread itself; fluffy and perfectly cooked. Next we had the Satay Scramble which was also delicious! I loved the consistency and might be some of the best I have tried. The trimmings around it worked really well. We also tried The Hash which is a creative take on the tradition breakfast Hash. The Lebanese twist was very welcome with Hummus and crispy chickpeas working so well with the Hash potatoes. The service was very friendly and the location is very convenient, as it is right on Holywood's main street. Overall we had an amazing lunch! Came in for brunch on a weekend with family and had a great experience. It was very busy when we arrived so there was a little bit of a wait for a table for four but we were offered little samples of their homemade smoothies while we waited! The gal taking our order was super lovely and friendly. I was very impressed with my food. I ordered a chai latte and the Korean mushroom wings with slaw and homemade chipped chips and it was all delicious. The chipped chips were unreal, especially with their garlic mayo. Gave Lynchpin 5 stars but never wrote why, so here's my take on this place. As it stands right now, this is the best, most thought through, friendly and attentive plant-based eatery in greater Belfast. I have a very fussy palate and I don't give good reviews for places for just being vegan. And Lynchpin just works on every level. Taste is there and it's brilliant, freshness is there, they don't shy away from culinary challenge and create dishes that stand out, in the best possible way! You can feel the joy coming from the kitchen and from the rest of staff. Keep it up like that and see you all soon....
