My wife and I are from the US and we visited Ireland back in September 2024, and La Sosta was one of the most special meals we had on this trip. For my primo, I had the ravioli with asparagus, and it was some of the best pasta I've ever had. It reminded me of my trip to Italy! My wife's primo was the rigatoni alla vodka, and it was great also. My secondo was the lamb with mint sauce, and my wife's secondo was the chicken, bacon, and mozzarella dish. Our contorni were roasted potatoes, green beans, and aubergines. The house white wine and sparkling water paired well with the food. When we expressed our thoughts to the owner, we have been told that it's a posh restaurant and only rich people come to dine in here, so that's why it's 100% italian with the best quality products. Well, oily undercooked food and wine, that you could buy for a 6£ in the supermarket... I guess we weren't rich enough to see the value of it. What are you doing here?” As if I didn’t belong in the restaurant (saw people wearing t shirts, so it obviously did not have a dress code). The manager then proceeded to tell me, after I waited and stood for about 5 minutes, that they do not have any tables available for another 2 hours (when several tables at the restaurant were obviously empty at 8pm on a weekday night).
