Metro Bar — Restaurant in Northern Ireland

Commonly nicknamed "Sweat-ro". I thought that was a funny nickname when I heard it, a name without much basis in reality. However upon entering Sweat-ro I was unpleasantly surprised. It was boiling in there. I was genuinely roasting. This is not the temperature you want when you want to then dance as you will then get hotter!

Besides that the downstairs is not a club, it's a loud bar with a tiny dance floor.

The bathrooms were soaking, not sure if from urine or from spilt drinks but I didn't see any drink glasses.....

We didn't stay long.

Could be a fun night if you are in Londonderry/Derry and don't know...

Called here during Halloween weekend and the place was packed. Didn't think we'd get a table seeing as there was 11 of us, but we managed to get 2 booths upstairs. The barmaid was very polite and accommodating as was the waitress that looked after our food order. Food was delicious and reasonably priced. Only negative was that while waiting on our desserts the manageress gave away our children's booth without so much as asking were we finished using it ( the kids were away...

Used to love the metro but arrived this evening in a shirt, smart shorts and shoes. I was told that there is a no shorts policy. I can completely understand why flip flops are not appropriate bit seems a wee bit old-fashioned to say women are allowed to expose legs all year round but men never are. I recommend to the owner/ manager to go on a night outon a similar or significantly fancier place literally anywhere else in the world in summer- men can wear...
