Visited at around 11 o’clock on a weekday and it was very busy. The location in the craft village is lovely and very picturesque. They have a lot of outdoor seating which would be lovely on a nice day, however it was beginning to rain so decided to sit inside instead. Whilst the building itself and decor are lovely and quirky, the tables were squished very tightly together, which took away from the experience a lot for me as it felt very claustrophobic - particularly due to how busy it was and seems to always be. Order a cappuccino and a plain scone. I didn’t particularly like the scone, but I could tell it was good quality and very fresh. The cappuccino was on the pricey side at £3.45, which is far more than anywhere else in town that serves good quality specialty coffee - the most I’d expect to pay for a top quality coffee is £3.30. The cappuccino was very poor. The scone was also £3.30 and came with jam, cream and butter, but I also feel that the scone was overpriced too, so I wouldn’t recommend coming here. The staff were overall okay, one member was very attentive whereas others seemed very passive. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend coming here as there are better, more affordable options...

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! I think this might be my new go-to place for a quick bite while shopping (or sightseeing) in Derry city! What a gorgeous little spot!

Situated in a thatched cottage within the Craft Village in Derry's Shipquay Street (the steep street leading up to the Diamond), it is definitely what I would call a "hidden gem". There are a number of different sized tables, including a large one for a group of up to 8 people. A really cosy area beside the old fireplace is where we sat.

You have to order at the counter and they give you a number marker for your table. They then bring your order to you when it's ready. Serving sandwiches and light bites, with the most sumptuous scones with jam and cream; also a range of coffees, teas and soft drinks. Highly recommended is their raspberry and white chocolate scone! So delicious! My daughter tried the mini pancakes which she said were divine.

Service was speedy, despite it being very busy! Appeared to havw a mixed clientele of locals and tourists. There is also large covered area with plenty of tables outside in the Craft...

Hi I visited today and ordered soup which was leek and potato and onions.when it arrived it came with one very thin slice of Wheaten bread and the waitress said if I wanted another slice just ask.fair enough. Then I tasted the soup and was bland with very little flavour and looked very watery.i took about 4 spoonfuls and decided it wasn't good.the waitress asked if everything was ok so I told her about the soup being tasteless and watery.she then spoke to her boss and informed me that although she had spoken to him it would be better if I spoke to him.i approached him and explained how I felt about the soup and he looked at me and said ok.that was his response. No apology just ok so I left as clearly he didnt want to know and his tone was dismissive.I have eaten here on several occasions and the staff were very helpful and the food was very good but after today's experience I doubt if i will be returning here again to pay for a bowl of coloured flavourless water which cost me over £6 .I believe the manager would benefit from a course in customer...

10 out of 5! My wife and I visited the area from Canada and wandered through the craft gallery/courtyard. The cottage is so charming so we decided to stop in for lunch. The food was so good and the scones are absolutely sensational, no wonder they’re consistently winning best scone in Europe. The food and atmosphere was so fantastic that we visited three days in a row (would’ve been back for our fourth day in the are but they were closed Sunday). Upon our return visits they recognized us and we were treated like family. They took the time to chat with us each day and made us feel so welcome. If we lived in the Derry area we’d be here daily! You’d be foolish to not stop here for anything on the menu but you MUST try the raspberry and white chocolate scones!
