A great wee Thai in the centre of Lisburn. Authentic dishes with quality ingredients. Thai and Chinese prawn crackers were placed on the table straight away with some chilled tap water as we sat down. I had the prawn Tom Yum to start, which was the best I've ever had. Just the right level of spice and the prawns were meaty and perfectly cooked. Kids menu is good, well thought out and good size portions. We were given cartons to take the excess home that the kids couldn't manage. Mains were very good, but I preferred the satay, which was creamy and flavoursome to the Jungle curry as the sauce was a bit too watery but still tasted good, I could tell the dishes were all prepared to order as all seemed fresh and took a little while to prepare. We were not kept waiting too long. Service was good. The space is small, but quiet, about 4 tables to eat at and the decor is simple. Plenty of people walked in off the street without a reservation and were welcomed to sit and eat.
Alcoholic drinks were not on the menu; you can bring your own and there is a small corkage fee.
The man who served us was engaging, funny and entertained the children well in a polite but humorous way. Service was not included automatically and not asked for in any way, but this was a place I was happy to pay at least 10%. Plenty of on street parking which is free after 6pm so accessibility was easy.
We'll be back.
Update: Nov 23 We did go back. Food just as good. You can really tell that it's authentic, home-made, Thai food to...
Read moreNot a single bad word to say about this place. Placed my first order last night. Ordered a collection by phone. As the meal names are all in Thai it was a little difficult to pronounce but the guy on the phone was happy for me to give them by their numbers. He was polite, friendly and helpful. Although he was (I assume) Thai, he understood everything perfectly and even offered to read the order back in full. No issues. I had ordered spring rolls and prawns to start which were amazing. So beautifully fresh tasting and not too greasy (still a little bit of grease but no where near as much as usual from the likes of a Chinese) my main was black pepper sauce with king prawns and boiler rice. You could taste everything on the plate. It was beautiful. The Thai crackers that you get with the meal are also great!! Completely different to Chinese prawn crackers and much crispier and tastier. Great experience all round and will be more than happy to return very soon!! Cannot...
Read moreAbsolutely disgusted. Ordered online via there website, order was taken and money taken from my account. The website specified that they were waiting on confirmation from the restaurant, I waited for a long time and no confirmation received. I then tried to call the restaurant on multiple occasions but no response. I then drove to the restaurant to check status of my order and it was closed. I am furious as they did not indicate that they were closed and not taking orders. Definitely would not recommend. I am not sure how I get reimbursed for my order which was £40 but will definitely be pursuing this. There is no option for me to rate this place as zero for me to be able to place this post so please ignore the 1 star rating....
