A waitress with an attitude. Confusing pay system which leaves you sitting at your table after the waitress dumps your check on the table, you're sitting there waiting in anticipation because youre overly boiling at this point. Untill you're finally fed up of waiting for your waitress to come back because shes to busy having a chat that you get up and ask to pay now and you're just redirected down stairs? Coukdn' t of told us that when you slammed down the bill. Ahh the food... Overly salty, dry & warm served on cheap looking nasty ceramics? Could get better plates at a supermarket. No air flow through the establishment which created an uncomfortable hot and stuffy environment. The cluttered Ambience was confusing. Dessert was supposed to be a bommed Alaska with a jam swirled sponge. Mate it was the thinnest dryest peice of card board which seemed to be missing the jam... It really felt like an upperclass Wetherspoons trying to cover yourself up in a beautifull building. Yous really could do so much more. Attention to detail is key....

Skeptical upon entry. Big signs outside promoting 30% or 50% off on certain days. If it's good, why the gimmick? Arrived inside, slow to be seated, place was jammed, and the noise was incredible. Definitely not somewhere to go for a relaxing meal.

The menus came and I could see why they decided to slash their prices. £15.95 for a chicken burger? Are you takin the biscuit? I wouldn't expect to pay that much for a burger in much finer restaurants in significantly more expensive cities. And the menu is huge. It begs the question: how can a place cook so much food in a fresh way? I suspect it doesn't.

Table service was frenzied (any wonder, given the size of the menu and the volume of customers?) and when it arrived it was barely average.

All in all very underwhelming. The place seems to have a vastly overinflated opinion of itself.

Only saving grace was the friendliness of the girl who served us, despite being clearly under a lot of pressure.

Won't be...

My husband and I came in for food just before Christmas, a break between shopping if you will. They had a three course menu for like twenty quid a person but they are doing 30% off everything so it ended up cheaper. I started with the calamari that was so delicious my two year old ate most of it on me. My husband got the hot wings that I ended up diving into because they were so tender and just beautifully flavoured. For my main I got the lamb shoulder, OMG it was fantastic. The meat literally fell of the bone and again the flavour was just beautiful. For dessert I got a baked Alaska, so delicious and even though I had already throughly stuffed my face, I couldn't stop eating it. I rounded out the lovely meal with an Irish coffee and seriously could have napped were I sat. The atmosphere was so relaxed, the music wasn't obnoxious like most places and the servers were so nice. Definitely going back and making sure I don't have any shopping to do...

I ordered the chicken goujons and chips, I received the kids goujons and chips for the adult price. Mediocre at best, the portion size was small 4 chicken goujons and a chip shop scoop of chips. My girlfriend had the southern fried chicken burger with onion rings, she said it was decent but the chicken burger was too big for the little bap. For the price we paid near £40 was quite alot considering I had one kopperberg and she had a diet coke. I don't think I'd return given the things I have mentioned. Staff were decent. I ended up having to stop at a chip shop as I left hungry.

Stylishly modern restaurant with a quality menu. Highly recommended for couples, friends and families alike. Staff are extremely helpful and committed, whilst the chef's cannot be praised enough. Lamb shank with red wine jus was delicious, whilst the "credit crunch" was a perfect dessert to finish off the experience. 30% off the total bill on Sundays is also a fantastic incentive to give this place a go. Highly recommended and will definitely return to this restaurant when I'm back in the city

Went with girls for the Boozy brunch, greeted and seated by friendly staff. Cocktails were lovely! Then food served, all great except the veg weren't great, over cooked and sour/off taste, mentioned to staff member who quickly offered an alternative, so all good in the end. Some more cocktails and we were nice and merry. Overall, great experience and good value for 3 cocktails, a main and a side. Would have liked some healthier options on the menu though!
