I recently had the opportunity to dine at Star of Bengal Indian Hotel in Bangor, and unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. While I had high hopes for an authentic Indian culinary experience, I was ultimately disappointed with several aspects of the restaurant.
First and foremost, the service was subpar. The staff seemed disinterested and inattentive throughout the evening. It took an excessively long time for our orders to be taken, and we had to repeatedly ask for basic things like water refills. The lack of professionalism and attentiveness greatly affected the overall dining experience.
Moving on to the food, I found it to be mediocre at best. The dishes lacked the vibrant flavors and complexity that I associate with Indian cuisine. The portions were also disappointingly small, leaving us feeling unsatisfied. Moreover, the presentation of the food was uninspiring, and the overall quality did not live up to the reputation of Indian cuisine.
Another major letdown was the ambiance of the restaurant. The décor felt outdated and tired, lacking the vibrant and inviting atmosphere that one would expect from an Indian establishment. The lighting was dim, and the seating arrangements were cramped, making it difficult to enjoy the meal comfortably.
Considering the lackluster service, mediocre food quality, and uninspiring ambiance, I cannot recommend Star of Bengal Indian Hotel as a top dining choice in Bangor. While it may have been popular in the past, it seems that the restaurant is currently failing to deliver a satisfying experience to...

Seems the new guy on the till likes to charge £6 for delivery 🤔. When we order a keema naan it seems to be just plain mince in it as well which is disappointing. The usual guys who answer the phone are all...
