I used to go to Bangor when I was a kid. There was always stuff to do and shops to enjoy. However, sadly this once beautiful seaside place has turned into a dump. There are barely any shops, and the place needs one heck of a revamp. It's disgusting how Bangor's council has let it get this bad. They're one of the richest councils and, yet they do nothing to bring the place back to life.

Bangor needs shops, good places to eat, fun things to do so all ages can enjoy it. The marina could do with an update and, do trips like they used to when the seal was around.

We spent a month here unintentionally as we had some engine issues on our boat. The staff were incredibly friendly. They chased us up to make sure we got the best deal when it came to rates for berthing which made it even more of a pleasant experience. They have good facilities and the bathrooms were always clean. There is a laundry room with 2 washers and 2 dryers. There is plenty of places to get food and drinks within walking distance. There is also a train to Belfast every half hour.

Definitely would recommend making a stop in Bangor Marina if you are looking for a place...
