The Pig & Whistle — Restaurant in Norwich

They had a Tickles voucher offer on which was bought and paid for, which allows us to buy the Piggy Pig burger with a £1 surcharge, but they refused to accept it meaning we had to order something we didn't want to eat, or pay full price for the burger. We offered to pay more than the £1 surcharge at the time if it meant getting what we wanted, but it was flatly refused.

We ate there anyway, hoping that we'd be able to claim the money back through Tickles but their T&C's state we need to settle any dispute with the pub, and the pub aren't refunding people's voucher costs.

The proprietor has since been in touch, following a complaint on their Facebook page, and offered a 2-4-1 on the meal we originally wanted, as way of compensation, which is appreciated, but the initial experience has left a bitter taste in our mouths so we won't...

Really bad service, terrible racist and homophobic atmosphere by a large group that seemed to be friends with the bar staff on a personal level. The bar staff ignored me every time I tried to get a drink, even when no one else was waiting and ignored all the racist and prejudice customers that where being quite vocal with their insults, not at me but just in general. I went because of friends who are very nice and was shocked that they would hang out in such an awful atmosphere. Nice cosy setting but I think they’re not legally allowed to recommend you a drink if you ask. Either that or someone just did not want me in their bar. Shame too cause it’s a nice setting and they have karaoke days as well but the vibe was so weird because what type of a bar server doesn’t recommend drinks for specific people and would rather they leave instead if recommends them a new drink?
