Have been before multiple times when it was fine. This time we were greeted with very rude staff. The lobster was not fresh. They also kept touching the raw chicken spatula with the rice and other dishes. The table opposite left early due to the poor service and food. They served vegetables last. My friend ordered a seafood set menu which included king prawn which they did not provide - when questioned multiple staff shouted at him. My steak was ordered rare but it was very well done. The attitude of the staff was terrible. For some reason served us the vegetables as a dessert.. should have been with our mains. Staff stated “it’s the chefs style”. £7.50 for a pint of rubbish lager too. Paid £50 - ended up getting food on the way home. Gave me food poisoning. Would definitely avoid. The staff were very rude and unapologetic. Unprofessional. Have contacted the health standards agency. Please for your own health’s sake avoid.

Very dissapointed. We went way before lock down, some time in February. We were a group of 10 people and from the beginning we were treated as if they didn't care too much, rushed us several times into getting drinks and choose the menu before the entire group had arrived and we were waiting almost by the door. Them food, we went for one of the expensive menus and it was very average in quality and quantity. If felt more like a circus where you go to see the show by the chef cooking food in extravagants ways rather than enjoying the food. Also all the other tables were very loud and a bit rude if I may say it... They clearly went for taking photos of chefs doing their show rather than anything else. By the end, were kicked out as we were finishing ours drinks in an adjacent table where we were moved as they wanted to clean the place we were( nobody else used it after us)

We visited the restaurant on the 9th of May. It was a Bday lunch and we loved it. We were the only ones in the place but it was perfect because we didn't know how would our little one take the new experience. Our host Andy was extremely friendly and kind. The food was excellent and the chef was very nice and professional. I had the meat deluxe which was really tasty. My wife had the Business lunch which she loved. They even allowed us to bring our own food for the little one which was a huge thing for as. The drinks were really good too. I lived the sweet potato spirit. The portion size was nice and we were able to take the leftover home too. We definitely going to visit again.

First time visiting Ginza and the food was absolutely delicious. Wish we had been before now. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We were told that they are closing for good due to retirement on 27th July 24, so if you haven't been go and if you've been and love it go again before it's too late. Absolutely fantastic restaurant, great atmosphere, friendly staff and incredible food. Gutted it's shutting as this place is a must, it will be a big loss for Nottingham. Thanks Ginza for our first experience of Japanese food and enjoy your retirement!

Firstly thank you to our chef Geehon (I hope that’s spelt right) he made our experience enjoyable and let us know what he was doing and ingredients going in. We ordered the set meal for about £42 each which was good, the lobster was definitely the best part of the meal and the other dishes were not bad, just a little salty! 😅 Overall the experience was good and I’d recommend to go and try it. Probably overall rating is 3.8 stars ! The other staff could maybe be a little more friendlier as we did feel a bit awkward at times because of it.
