I can’t believe I’m going out of my way to review this place but I couldn’t be more disappointed. The wait was already nearly 2 hours until they pulled us out of the queue as a GROUP OF 6 only to be sat down at a table for 4 PEOPLE. We were all confused and even tried to negotiate that 2 of us sit down at a table for 2 as it made absolutely no sense and we already invested our time waiting. They said they would do so but when the table right next to us became available and our friends moved the same guy who said would move us refused my friends the seats and sat other people down. To make things worse the our food didn’t come till nearly an hour later and our drinks literally came 15 minutes after that. One of my friends ate his food on his lap😐.I wanted my friend to enjoy her birthday celebration but the vibe was already going to waste, on top of that they didn’t bring her food until after the rest of us had finished eating so after debating with who ever she just got a refund. It was obvious we were all irritated and a guy who was dining himself jumped in to try and help us but it was already too late. We had been asking to simply be seated accordingly the entire time n we even got denied that. I hate to pull the race card but it was evident that particular people in the restaurant received a way better service than we did. Still in disbelief that I spent my Friday evening like that. I had to try my hardest not to lose my cool, to be honest we all did. It’s one thing to waste money but my time is a different story. They could have at least tried to make it worth it but their customer service, which is a whole other story, declined as the night went on. The fact that we still came in happy and all left upset...

Four of Us had come to Hukka to watch the boxing. We'd travelled from Birmingham and the Google pictures seemed decent. The Shisha was fantastic, really smooth and reasonably priced. The food was also great, plus there were loads of options. It did seem a bit on the pricey side but nothing too excessive. The lounge itself was beautiful, excellent vibe coupled with very good service. The waitresses were excellent, very professional. Hukka definitely had an upmarket feel about it. We were a bit surprised by the fact that a lounge that shows sporting events would only have 2 screens, and 1 of those was at eye level,so that if someone say in front of you, your view would be severely restricted.....which is exactly what happened, very frustrating.I would suggest raising the screen by about 3ft.

Now the negative. We were body searched on the way in,had our photo taken, had to provide I'D and fill in our personal details. I've been to a few shisha lounges and this is the first time that this has happened to me. As the night went on the Shisha lounge began to fill up,especially nearer the Main event. When the Boxing match had finished,it was then we realised what the extra security was about. The atmosphere had suddenly changed from Mellow to full on Ghetto. That did surprise me. We were 4 lads so no real problems for us,but if I'd been with my partner,I would definitely have been a lot more cautious.

Overall,very nice place,but with a...

Me and my sister visited here on NYE. The place itself looks beautiful, it's decorated in the best way possible and nothing more could be done to it. The music is really good too and our food and drinks were nice and not badly priced (£10 for food and £7 cocktails) we wanted our bill so we could pay and leave. We were then told we HAD to buy a shisha. We said we didn't want one and why did we HAVE to buy it? And we were told because it's a shisha bar lol! Three members of their staff told us we HAVE to buy shisha and their boss said that's what we have to do. The staff weren't rude but they were being pushy but I believe this is down to their boss pressuring them. In the end we didn't buy a shisha and we did just pay for our food and drinks and I don't quite understand why we were being forced to buy something we didn't want. We went there and spent money, nearly £40 which costs more than the price of shisha anyway!! I probably would visit again but defo be prepared to put up a fight with pushy staff. EDIT. Your reply is laughable, as if three members of staff do not remember trying to force us to buy shisha. Please do not try to make out I've made up a story, I have no need to the place is lovely, just don't force your customers to purchase items they don't...

I rarely ever give a one star review. The reason this is one of them is because this was my experience of the place :- 1. They were rude to me at the entrance and did not let me in, and the reason given was because I came on a scooter and they wanted me to just dump it outside on the pavement and because I was wearing joggers. 2. They do not have any parking spaces. 3. The dress code is very restrictive. Dress revealing or go home???? 4. The place seems pretty boring and not really a lit space if you wanna just chill and get high and vibe. I wouldn't recommend going here. Lots of better places around Nottingham to explore. Happy vibin' 💟

Food: at most shisha places you expect the food to be average, but not at hukka - the food was some of the best I’ve had in Nottingham including restaurants. I had the risotto and couldn’t get enough of it. Would definitely come back just for the food. Shisha: flavour was mixed great, and lasted a long time. Waiters/waitresses: attentive and did their best, constantly removing empty glasses from table. Slight issue - as the hall is big was hard at times to get their attention as they are usually stood around the front entrance. Overall? I’d recommend it, probably best to get a cab in due to lack of available parking
