I would give this place zero stars if I could.
On Saturday the 11th, I called the restaurant to confirm my 6:30 pm booking, which I had made two weeks earlier. The lady who answered couldn’t find my reservation at all and said her boss would call me back.
When the manager finally called, he said there was no record of my booking and started asking several questions — what we planned to order, how many people were coming, and so on. He seemed quite stressed, as if they weren’t prepared to handle a large group.
Eventually, I was told there was no space for us and, shockingly, the manager claimed he remembered me from a previous visit with “chaotic kids,” saying it was a health and safety concern. He also added that if we still wanted to dine there, we’d need to spend a minimum of £300 since it was a busy Saturday night.
Needless to say, we didn’t go. We ended up at Chaska, where we were welcomed warmly, had plenty of space, and weren’t pressured into a minimum spend.
It’s appalling that a restaurant manager would turn away customers instead of admitting a mistake made during the initial booking a few weeks ago. While I’ve heard the food here is good, the way I was spoken to was unacceptable. I would not recommend this...

They also served free appetisers like eggplant, cacık (yogurt with cucumber), and tomato sauce and that tomato sauce especially reminded me of my father. He used to make it for us, and it tasted exactly the same ❤️
The seating was super comfortable, the furniture was high-quality, and the place was air-conditioned (which was perfect since it was a hot day). They even had prayer rugs available. The bathrooms were clean and elegant, and the service was fast and pleasant.
Highly recommend it…it’s totally worth...
Read moreWe booked a birthday party for 20 people at Mraya, but when we called to confirm, we were told there was “nothing on their system”. Instead of apologising, the manager wrongly claimed we’d been there before with “unruly kids” — which was completely false, as we have never eaten there before. Our group included mainly well-behaved teenagers and adults, and the manager’s attitude was both rude and dismissive.
This was meant to be a special occasion, and their lack of organisation and professionalism could easily have ruined the evening. Thankfully, we managed to find another restaurant at short notice, but we shouldn’t have had to. I would not recommend Mraya for group...
